Geeeesh, I remember all that and the day I watched the funeral for John F. Kennedy, and John Jr. doing his little salute.
I think I was about 5.  I started crying.

I remember when hitchiking all over town (or cross cournty) wasn't dangerous.

I remember when you could sneak into the juke joints in Chicago with no I.D. whatsoever as long as you were with a few older friends.

I remember being able to buy cigs and beer w/o being carded.

I remember TJ Swan (Easy Nights and Mellow Days) and Ripple wine.

I remember windowpane, purple microdot, and orange barrels.   (hehehehehhehehe)

I remember the huge rolling paper that came out of the Cheech N Chong album, "Big Bamboo"

I remember doupers and greasers.

I remembe when you could shoot pool for .25 cents.

I'm sure there is more.  But, you get the picture.
God damn, I was going to mention the acid! Purple double-dome (microdot), the windowpane, Owsley White Lightning, Nick Sands' Orange Sunshine (what you call the barrel) and so on...I dealt Sunshine. Bought a bunch in New Orleans from some folk affiliated with the Brotherhood of Eternal Love. They had what they called Holy Acid. Had that twice. Remarkable. The only place I know of to get decent acid now is Vancouver, BC. I know folks who grow mushrooms, but they have a heavy body load (for me).

I hitched all over the place. Over 10,000 miles. Had some killer adventures.

Remember when JFK was shot and the Beatles were on Ed Sullivan.

Remember me living in Richmond, VA for a spell, real close to VCU in the Fan District (cobblestone sidewalks, gas lights, lots of Sunshine hehehe) when I had my hair super-long (pic on profile) and I couldn't walk down the street without some horny chick tripping me and beating me to the ground.

Lots of other good stories and memories.

LOVED King Biscuit!!

You need to get over to Wolfgang's Vault.

Turns out Bill Graham was recording almost all the acts playing at his venues, and now they're monetizing the collection ( which I've mixed feelings on, but they're doing it in a classy way.... )

One of the things they have is... KING BISCUIT RADIO!

Owsley recorded a lot of the shows in SF, at the Avalon and Fillmore. I had the good fortune to have his product a couple times, and have exchanged a few emails with him.

I remember the fall of the Berlin Wall and when the Soviet Union was changed to Russia in my text book.... 1995!!!!! (my teachers still talked about the Soviet Union in my classes up to 1995 without mentioning to us that it no longer existed until after the new books were out.)

I remember when........
Cigarette commercials were on tv. Smoking was allowed in hospital rooms, court houses (All government buildings) and grocery stores. Also on every soap opera I watched, all the ladies smoked lol

Quick story here..
I was admitted the night before to have my toncils removed. I stayed up and talked all nnigth with my room mate and we smoked all night. The next morning, when they came to get me for surgery, I had the worst sore throat lol they sent me home to heal and rescheduled the surgery.

<walks away singing> Taste me..taste me..come on and taste me...(Doral cigarette jingle)

Not funny, but how strange that the marlboro man (what a hunk!) died of cancer.

PS: I dont know why I have smokes on the brain. But I would love to have one now.

I remember when you KNEW you were smoking a REAL cigarette
Yanno, the Camel campaign... Have a REAL smoke...

*lights a real smoke*
*puff puff*
Aint life grande?
