ORIGINAL: Muttling I remember when it still snowed in Tennessee. I remember the snow storm of Jan. 2003 OMG..cars on the side of the road..for miles..people venturing out of their homes to give the stranded coffee and hot coco. I had two cars slide into my own yard. Bad time. I also remember the tornado that touched down in downtown Nashville, the spring of 1998 I lived in Bethpage TN. Jan 2003??? That was an ice storm and not much of one at that. I remember 16 inches of snow in 1993, they called out the National Gaurd for that one. I also remember never having a Valentines Day dance in highschool (mid-1980's). They were snowed out 4 years in a row. I also remember being out for snow ALL of January and MOST of February in 5th grade. (Late 1970's) Heck, there were many years where we trick or treated in the snow. When was the last time Tennessee saw a snow in October? We haven't gotten crap for snow since 1993. When I was growing up, we ALWAYS had at least one entire week off due to snow. I can't remember when Knoxville schools were out for a week since 1993 and now they call off school just because they're predicting snow. (I wish I had been so lucky.) In Massachusetts we had a snow week off of school in 1961 and 1969. Plenty of times with 2 or 3 days off though. And how many of you can remember Howdy Doody, Major Mudd and Arthur Godfrey on t.v.?
