Hauling that fucker around would hurt, that is worse than a BAR--- the goddamn ammo weight would be like hauling volkswagens around............thats a weapon for the young boys. Can you imagine hauling that and the ammo thru the bush?  Or desert?  Hot sweaty motherfucker that is, and EVERYBODY looking to cakk you first on the other side of the tree.

Who do we take first?

See that guy that looks like the pillsbury doughboy full of packs?  Thats the fucker, there he is. The asshole who we heard rattling for 3 miles, yep----right there.

I believe that we wouldnt have half the violence and aggression in UK society, if from time to time people had the opportunity to go and blast something - an old bus or something to bits. It IS very cathartic!

However over here I'm held to be psychotic for having such ideas, and a menace to society for so much as wanting a gun. Strangest thing is, its those who've never so much as seen a real gun, let alone held it or fired it, who hold such beliefs.

I remember the guys from "Armalite" (when they were in Costa Mesa) made the prototype for that it was in 10 ga. and when the Philippine group bought out Armalite the feds would not allow the shotgun to be part of the sale.  I am glad that the technology was not "shelved".  It is a pretty interesting piece of ordinance.

Here is the civilian model by Beretta....it is only $1100.  When compared to some of the nicer over and unders it is a real bargain.

Status: offline 		I'd like to point out that the AA-12 isn't the first high capacity fully automatic shotgun. For famous example, the Striker-12 "streetsweeper" had(has) an extremely limited production fully automatic variant available. Also, the USAS-12 was designed in the 80s by daewoo and is fully automaticwith comparable weight and there's also fully automatic Saiga-12s with Beta-C style magazines available.

Insanity none the less.


PS: You can legally buy the trigger groups from USAS-12s and Saiga-12s that were imported prior to 1986, provided you get a Class 3 FFL and your state will allow it. Fully automatic weapons aren't completely illegal, they'll just cost you an arm and a leg. Recent weapons can also be converted if the trigger group/sear is registered with the ATF and was produced before 1986, examples being common examples being SW5s with MP5 sears and AR-15s with M16A1 style trigger groups.

As you rightly point out high capacity auto shotguns are not anything new.  What is unique about the AA-12 and the Beretta are their extreme low recoil.

Ron, correct, you'd have to be humping that shit for 5 or 10 or however many miles and you'd need 5 guys to carry ammo!
On ships or patrol boats that's not a problem but it is for "gravel agitators."

Similar with one of the German army's machine guns in WWII. Its rate of fire was something like 3000 rounds per minute - I heard one at a reenactment once and my first thought was "who's the idiot revving a moped?", not realising it was this gun making the sound.

This gun was one of the elements in the Germans' successes - after all, who's gonna hang around in the way of it? And really, one only needed the two guys operating the thing - except that it needed another ten guys from the platoon to carry the ammo. Yes, they had rifles, but their primary function was to carry belts and keep the machine gun fed.
