I was rather sure that Sinergy would refuse to comment on the less than 2 week old Matt Taibbi, article in Rolling Stone.  And yet again I have been shown right.  He even refuses to believe it exists.  It so much fun watching leftists jump around trying to form arguments.  I love these boards.

I had surgery today, and I have not gotten the latest issue of RS.

So Taibbi is a neo-con hack to you?  My impression of him is that he pretty much hates everybody, and reading his work it is easy to understand why.

Is this a hijack?

Shit happens to nice threads :)  The best way to kill a hijack is not to respond to the hijacker's statements.

I open this thread to include ALL candidates body language you observe and wish to discuss.

What research???  There is only one set of numbers that matter for defining a failed presidency.  Wiki has them at 489 to 49.

While I understand that Wikipedia is the source for the numbers on your Worst Presidency score card, lets take one example of a failed Presidency.

Actually, Sinergy for simple little things like the Electoral College count on votes in a particular election, Wiki is quite adequate.

Since you are behind in your reading, I'll suggest you check the Administrative Announcements forum on this board regarding the new policy on intentional hijacking.  You'll find that one of your preferred tactics to attack and distract from facts or worldviews that don't fit your narrow little opinions is now formally frowned upon.  You will, of course, still be welcome to pretend that you are too stupid to comprehend.  I wish you well with the consequences of that.

My initial reference to Carter in this thread dealt strictly with filing ex-presidents in alphabetical order.  Perhaps you take a class while you are laid up?

I don't think that McCains body language looks significantly more disjointed than Richard Nixon's did.

I think the finest moment in Bush I's body language was when he barfed in the Japanese Prime Minister's (?) lap.

Aswad, It was to Sinergy, which is why I named him in the first sentance.  It obviously had nothing to do with you.

Ah. It just seemed like you were referencing him, rather than targetting him, and the post was marked in reply to Aswad.

My apologies.

Sinergy, yet you have been given the link to the article.  So when you get a chance take a look, and let me know what you think.  Actually it was the resident left leaning Democrats who basically defined him as a Neo Con hack of No relevance.

This 'In Reply To' thing is starting to be a real pain in the butt.

Unless someone uses the 'quote entire post' function, it plugs in random names. And there are way too many threads with quotes within quotes within quotes within quotes, to not cut and paste for a more concise reply.

To Alumbrado,

That's why I usually quote, and trim the quotes to one level (unless absolutely necessary) and try to keep the quotes shorter than the replies.

Makes it clear who I am replying to, what I am replying to in what part of my post, and so forth.

There's a standard for it laid out in an IETF RFC doc.

Health,
al-Aswad.

So you are 'just sayin' that McCain is a defective weakling and who cares about all that limping and blinking and permanently disabled POW stuff, because it is 'wearing thin' with you?

Shades of 'Bob Dole the gimp', 'Obama the Muslim terrorist', and SwiftBoating.

Oh Jesus, lol. Talk about putting words in someone`s mouth.

Her point was McCain`s stupidity about staying in Iraq(today's` Viet Nam) and about him not learning any lessons from Viet Nam.

Bush once said the lesson of Viet Nam,was to not give up.I fear that mentality would have us there still to today, with a hundred thousand of our boys killed instead of 55 thousand.

There was a day during the Viet Nam war, when "only" 4000 of our young men and women had lost their lives.Little did folks know that year, that 55,000 would lose their lives before we woke up.McCain,in his effort to out-bush Bush, has clearly shown that he`s asleep on Iraq.

She didn`t denigrate McCain.

Can`t she, make that very valid point without being denigrated?

One reason why I hope that the "quote" option remains.

People should just follow along and ignore that little "in reply to" thingy. It`s not relivant.

I will check it out, luckydog1.

The best analysis of Taibbi that I ever read was "He is a writer who can peel the flesh back from anybodies skeleton and make them dance around for everybody."  As I pointed out, he pillories almost everybody he writes about right, left, up, down, puce, pink, whatever.

What?  And dampen a perfectly good surge of flame-fest reply energy, by taking time to do that?

Well, thats a bit too simple. The original post was about McCain blinking, and talking to male reporters, and about the wife's frozen on smile ... and other highly intelligent, important things.

Ever hear that saying about first impressions? Well, the first impression made in this thread, kind of makes a laughable point of the "valid point" argument, now.

Well ,McCain did appear like a deer in the headlights, and the wife looked like Larry Craig`s wife.

LotusSong didn`t say or imply any of the things that "El Alumbrado" said.~"Shades of SwiftBoating"~ on his part.

But why are you dissing her?

Her point was and is valid.Five more Americans lost their lives yesterday,in Iraq.As long as that`s happening,it`s a serious subject.

http://edition.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/08/12/iraq.main/index.html

By the way,McCain was just caught in a lie about his ties to Iseman and her lobby efforts.

"The Washington Post tonight: "Broadcaster Lowell 'Bud' Paxson today contradicted statements from Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign that the senator did not meet with Paxson or his lobbyist before sending two controversial letters to the Federal Communications Commission on Paxson's behalf."

I finally got a chance to read the article today.  As usual, I agree with Taibbi.  The Democrats are on their way to selling out their party with their lack of action and acceptance of the mandate of the people.

AnencephalyBoy already destroyed the Republican party.

Add to this the fact that Hillary cannot catch Obama without the Superdelegates means that the end of the Democratic party is near, because Hillary will most likely not stand down and accept the mandate of the popular vote.

Probably time to resurrect the Whigs and the Know-Nothings, people have hated the Dems and the Repubs for far too long.
