Indeed. I feel that the loss of equality, the permanent mindframe of servitude, is what seperate the lifestylers from the (I hesitate to use the word "weekenders", since this is very much an integral part of my life) transients and the non-lifestylers. Outside of play I am my husband and master's equal (yes, they are the same person). We consult each other in all things, and the dynamic of servitude does not exist. We may have extended scenes that last for days, even weeks, but at the end I will still pop back out as his equal in all ways. Thank you for hitting the nail on the head. I was struggling to define what made me different from those with a more permanent approach, and you stated it perfectly.
