in the next year or so i'll be freed up in a way that i've not known since i was 19 years old. no husband, and kids will be grown and out of the house...wow! part of me wants to throw a dart on a map and go wherever it takes me. i'm feeling adventurous and i'm considering all my options seriously. if you could pick up and move anywhere, where would it be and why?

Christine ... do it ... dont talk yourself out of it ..... if you do you will always regret it .. I did that at 49 ... .. and it was wonderful ..... take time to just go explore ... you can always find a job doing somethign and make friends and find new adventures ..... look forward to it and own it !!!! I would go to New Zealand .. or back to New England .. or to Seattle area

My ass would be parked on a Northern Outer Banks beach in NC. I love the East Coast and the Atlantic Ocean.

BSB....i've been to sacramento/auburn and it was glorious, it is gorgeous there! MissH...i see what you mean and it makes perfect sense. when i feel uncertain, i'll contact you strong lady.

Im a great cheerleader ... and the worst that can happen is you move a place you hate .. but you see some place new .. stay a few months and move to another place you adore

Put your ' stuff' in storage ..it will be there when you need it .. travel light .. and go for it ... if you find the perfect place along the way you can send for those things that mean a lot you have stored !!! Edited to add.. if my health hadnt changed I would still be exploring new places .. just wish I had been as adventuresome as Sunshine and gone to different countries too !

Sri Lanka...but suicide bombers turn me off to a place... Singapore is my second choice...but i need to find me a sugar daddy...or wait till my man builds up a larger nest egg and convince him that he can do interventions on the otherside of the world...

I am happy where I am - San Francisco - California - it has everything. Maybe a little more sun every now and again - but that is what Mexico is for !

I actually did do the 'dart thing' and I'm going to Austin TX when my freakin house sells. That could be a very very long time though because the Detroit area just hit as A) Forbes #1 choice as Most Miserable City. B) It has the worst housing market slump in the nation.

Somewhere with mid temps year round ... 100 Arces House in the middle ... trees on one side .... pond oh yeah it is all formulated in my mind I dont care where just as long as it has those factors
