Let the youngsters have their munch. They will be joining us soon enough. I'm more or less a High Protocol Dom. We have our own munch/play party and entrance to it is by invitation or a recomendation. The rules are strict and your not coming back unless you follow them. There is another group that caters only to experienced players. It's also by invitation. The former group has mellowed a bit over the years and is now beginning to get back on track. Another group is for Dommes and their slaves. Although public, you won't be welcome there unless your a female Dominant with a subbie in tow. When I go to a specialized munch or party, I don't want the atmosphere disturbed by those who don't understand. Is this elitist? Yes. Am I an elitist? You betcha. Do I go to more open munches and parties? On occassion I do. When I do though I leave my protocols and other interests at home. This lifestyle is filled with those who prefer a specific atmosphere or a certain type of behaviour. Get over it.

Depending on my mood, I might feel like hanging around with men, young people, old people, bowlers, animals, social workers, nerds, etc. The fact that there are various groups that cater to my various moods is a good thing. Celeste

I'm not aware of any segregation in my neck of the woods. Given the ages bandied about though, it makes me wonder... ...since I'm 35. [;)] Twelve years since I first tried the 'lifestyle', and I wasn't actively Dominant for half the time; however, I've comfortably held my own up to this point. I'd be more mature than a good number of the younger Dom-boys, I've no doubt, and it's been inferred that I tease well. Conversely, I'm too young for the "other category", even though a 50-year-old man might have only just entered the 'lifestyle'. WTF? snickers Can't help but laugh at the age thing; it does not apply to me in the least, and yet, the havoc....ahh, the havoc.
