ORIGINAL: NorthernGent As it stands, Channel 4 should know better than to give these spongers any exposure. So your problem with him is that he happened to be born to a father who is the future king? No matter what he does he's a piece of shit because of who his father is? He joined the army during a time of war, expecting to go to the front lines with his unit. He didnt have to join - OK there's a tradition in the family, but he didnt have to join precisely because of his wealth and position (which seems to be your sole reason for dislike). I note that none of the Labour government who made the decisions to go to war have kids any closer to the front lines than a bar in Islington. If this were any other junior officer out there, presumably you'd express support for him or her, even if you disagree with the premise of conflict? As for him being there, I think its granting potential for a very unwise hostage situation all in all, and risking his unit being singled out - albeit that with helmet, goggles and scarf its difficult to recognise anyone, its rarely too difficult to find out which regiment is facing you on the battlefield. At the same time though, he wanted to go and his grandmother wanted him to go, and I'm pleased (the above potentials notwithstanding) that position and wealth need be no barrier to risking a neck along with the rest of our troops, whatever the merits or lack thereof in the Labour decision for war.
