Dear Ladies and Gentlemen;
I am not directing this post to anything said and or anyone in particular. However, it came to mind, that I often think that regional ways of speaking, such as USA, Australia, England, Germany, Italy, etc., may have a great deal on how we (in general) read things.
In using Sign Language, my first experiences in using such -- Sign Language; it took me a back a bit at first, as it came off rude, blunt and such. However, if using verbal languages this would take a Signer ages to complete, so--it is only practical to use the words necessary to speak, tell the story and or express self. Perhaps, this should be considered in the text format--as not everybody speaks English as their first language. And, even with English--there are many 'flavors' to that common language which differs from USA, Canada, New Zeland, Australia, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and in the whole of the UK. Perhaps this may 'cause' the reader to consider the other in a different light--rather than the 'intended' spirit of the responding post.
Having met a few Australians, I can honestly say they are full of passion, love of life and are always looking for play and fun in life and love to tease. They also work very hard--especially those in regions which are still rural and harsh. My father spoke with deep sincere words, how in World War II, the men of Australia and New Zeland were the brave soldiers of the bravest. Hopefully, others will see that 'if' we choose to see the worst in others--then we will indeed find such. I prefer to see the best in others and though the worst is there--to not feed that side.
Just some thoughts.
