I agree with you here, I almost fell out when Senator Clinton suggested it with such a casual air ... it's just so her. I will say that I'm a bit less interested in the popular vote or number of delegates, mostly due to the role money plays in gaining each one in a primary election. I choose to think of it like a task that needs to be accomplished. If neither of these candidates reaches the magic number, then neither accomplished the task. For anyone to claim a mandate, or will of the voter ... well, the will of the voter is expressed in making it to the winning number. If you fall short, you have no mandate, and the will of the voter has not been decided. At that point, it's time to look at other factors, which is the role of the supers.
