When this country was at war in Vietnam, the politicians slammed the door in thier faces and stopped supporting the troops. I can see this same turn of events happening in Iraq. I think you need to check your facts....This is all about oil. Do you think Bush gives a flying fuck over the poor oppressed people of Iraq? There are a lot of tyrants and a shit load of evil being committed upon the people of this planet....We don't give a shit about the brown people of this world only what they are standing over....If it's oil we care.

I love it when people talk about "supporting the troops." As if the troops were the ones who made the case for war. How would it have worked out in our favor if we would have "supported our troops" in Vietnam. Would we now have free trade? Would we get along any better?....Or would the Viet Nam Memorial have thousands of more names engraved on to it?

Our Allies? Our allies don't give a fuck about our presence in Iraq.

To date...

U.S. Soldiers killed...3,974

U.S. Soldiers wounded...29,320

Coalition forces killed...307


Who is this "we"

Would that this was just 1 angry (ignorant) woman. I actually had a college professor mention something about Saddam Hussein and 9/11. Granted he was a playwriting/drama professor but still.

Status: offline 		In my defence i had a huge rant all written out, then i saw some positive posts and thought bugger and got rid of it I figured as im English i could have been flamed as being anti american and not having a clue about it. Really some attitudes i hear scare the shit out of me. How we can distence ourselves from an entire nation and say ha well they started it so there which is all a pile of blown up crap anyways.

I hear this from a lot of different quarters, but I must be missing something. What facts prove that the US needed oil so desperately that it just decided to make a grab at a country in the Middle East? Or worse, did it out of pure greed?
 
At any rate, the American soldiers who are dying over there are not "all about oil". Which calls for some fancy word-work when trying to discuss the subject. I don't think I have what it takes.
