ORIGINAL: DesFIP Of course, one way around not being into play that is popular in the local groups is by not playing publicly. We don't. He's into damsel in distress and sex, none of that requires a cross or a spanking bench, stocks, bullwhips etc. So why spend our time and money going places where we can't do what we're into, and we're not into what's being done. Sort of like saying if you like football then you would also like curling because they're both sports. Personally I used to like watching curling, but the only football I watched voluntarily were the games my son played in. Great example. The issue, though, is that if there are no curling clubs within 100 miles, and I don't know anyone else who likes curling, the best way to find them would be to start getting involved with other people who like hockey, and then trying to turn them on to curling. I might not love playing hockey, but I love that I could be doing something similar, and make friends who potentially could enjoy my favorite sport. That is, if my desire was to find other people who share in the things I love. Not everyone needs or enjoys including other people in their play, so obviously this really depends on what your expectations and desires lean towards. Stephan
