In twelve days I'll finially meet pet after 8 months of online and phone chatting. He's about 900 miles but I think he's more than worth the wait and the travel. I'm excited, a bit nervous(because of recent plane problems on the news) but I'm really excited to finally meet him face to face. We have daily contact at least once and up to several times daily whenever our daily routines between work and school allow for it. As for mentally preping I'm getting ideas of what I want to do once I finially get him in my hands and completely encased in rubber.[:)] I'm also looking forward to just hanging out with him and watching how we'll click on a daily basis. Over all he's the one and only that I want and I'm going to take that week for my opportunity to make him completely mine. Lorelei

First off, I completely believe if the last contact was positive for the meeting and a time and place were set-up, of course you go. As a Dom you are asking a submissive to trust in you completely. You ask that the submissive give herself completely over to you. This can only be accomplished through trust and assurance. I consider it even more important, if there is doubt, for the Dom to show up demonstrating a caring and security for his/her submissive. Better to error in caution as a Dom. This way if the submissive is ever punished and bound, she knows that eventually the Dom will come...that is certain. The doubt is only when the Dom will come. As for the rest, I think that really depends on the characteristics of the burgeoning relationship. Just my thoughts...

Cali Well, Cali, two tons of lust is an awful lot, or a shitload as we measure units of weight here in the south. I think the remedy, to relieve some of the weight, so to speak, would be a menage. (Don't worry, SailingBum, I have no interest in touching you, we'd just need to be careful about that.) A ton each, can ya carry the weight ? ;)

I tend not to be overly concerned. There are a few reasons for this: 1 - I think appearance matters. I try to always keep myself in shape, dress attractively, and otherwise remain presentable when I go out in public. You never know what kind of chance meetings will happen. 2 - I don't get worked up if people don't like me or if I don't like them. I have some very well-defined qualities as a human being, and everyone has personal preferences. I don't take it personally, and likewise, I'm not shy about my opinions on others. 3 - I'm quite confident. So, in short, I do not worry, I find people who are overly worked up about frequent contact to be annoying (If I say I will be there, then barring major incident, I will be there), and I'm quite open-minded and observant, so I genuinely give people an opportunity to prove or disprove themselves to me. The one thing I will judge almost instantaneously is appearance, but that's a trivial one. Edit - I have no idea why this appears to be in response to SailingBum; I was aiming for the OP. I should pay more attention when posting, apparently.

I still have 37 days 'til I meet my Master and Daddy, but I'm already starting to stress. I have to take the bus down, 8 hours so I doubt I'll really look my best. So when I get there at 3 AM I'm going to be nervous and wondering if he's going to still want me, what if he doesn't show, etc. But then he'll get there, give me a hug and a kiss and it'll be good.

When I meet submisives I think "God please dont let him be so DAMN SHY. So many subs are really, painfully quiet on the first meeting. Which makes for a really awkward situation. If it's a dominant I think " I hope he isn't an asshole" Which isnt usually the case but it sure sucks when it happens. I usually suit up in some ok clothes, Especially if its a Pro type situation. First time impressions are so Important when one needs to break in new bitches quickly. Without confirmation I do not show up.

I've met two people for public dates before moving further into a relationship. It usually consists of emails every couple of days from the point of meeting, IM chat and picture trading if she agrees, and then we exchange cell phone numbers if we decide to meet in person. Once we've met, we usually do a restaurant and some public bullshitting (one time we went shopping for things for her to wear the next time we met;))
