" NEW YORK (AP) — American men still don't pull their weight when it comes to housework and child care, but collectively they're not the slackers they used to be. The average dad has gradually been getting better about picking himself up off the sofa and pitching in, according to a new report in which a psychologist suggests the payoff for doing more chores could be more sex.

The report, released Thursday by the Council on Contemporary Families, summarizes several recent studies on family dynamics. One found that men's contribution to housework had doubled over the past four decades; another found they tripled the time spent on child care over that span. "

Status: offline 		lol, it might work for vanillas, if wifey isn't carrying the whole load she might have energy left for some hanky panky.  had to chuckle yesterday, hubby got the sweeper out to clean up a mess and it was a nice sexy sight.  maybe going to have to get him doing that buck nekkid the next time the kids are gone.

Status: offline 		My last existance, I did the housework after completing a day at work, a nine hour day, I did'nt get more sex. All I let her do was make the dinner as my cooking is well, kind of different and I washed up after.

I did it, because of my standards, important areas like bathroom and kitchen I cleaned regularly.

All it did for me, was to realise my partner was lazy and quite happy to live in squalor, whereas I was not prepared to, I still do not despite various problems.

Amen to that!

And just for the record, a man who mows my yard definitely gets more sex -- not "may" get more sex. I just can't seem to find a guy with a working, uh, lawnmower. :)

We don't mind helping, but realize that we have different priorities with time than you do.

Yes, this is a BDSM website and obviously I am submissive in my tastes.  But I work my ass off, and I am still a man.  I need about an hour to myself when I come home.  I need to go to the bathroom, I need a a beer, I need to zone out for awhile....  I don't need to hear bitching or demands the minute I walk in the door.  I am a fair guy.  I don't mind doing housework (althought I hate doing dishes), I don't mind letting the woman take care of the money.  But give me a small break at the end of the day. 

If a woman works, I want her to join me in loafing for an hour or two.  The housework can wait.  It doesn't need to be all done the minute we get home.  If the woman has UM's, then they had better be contributing.  I had to do chores, so should they.

Actually, you will find that "joli travail" is commonly used en français . It means exactly the same thing, but in a more chiselled way. A "joli travail" implies esthetic appreciation of the work concerned; "bon travail" is more hundrum.
