I guess I don't understand what the problem is, exactly, with the Rezko deal.  I suspect there are some myths floating around akin to "Obama is a Muslim" re: Rezko.

But I have to go now - I get paid 50 dollars an hour to pick beans in Yuma.

Here is the deal...

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/chi-obama-rezkomar15,1,7273644.story

Obama originally stated that Rezko helped raise $150,000 for his campaign...Now the amount is $250,000.

They live next door to each other.

It might be nothing it could be everything.

This guy is now gonna be scrutinized harder than the rubble of the Twin Towers. It sucks, but he has to be squeaky fucking clean...

I hope he wins the nomination. I am so sick of the way things have been run of late.

Edited to add.....If you take that silly shirt off I will send you a couple of bucks...Consider it a tribute.

You just want to see me topless!  And no, I like my silly shirt and don't want any money.

The Rezko thing looks like nothing, really.   I can't find any supportable, real problems which is why I think people are so vague about the whole thing.  They can be accusatory without having any evidence.

Didn't the NY Times get hammered for running a story about McCain that "could be nothing or it could be everything?"  Why don't we hear about that one but this Rezko thing won't go away?  There is a ton more evidence about McCain's ties to lobbyists than anything with Rezko....  Seems odd.  I wonder if it's racist or just the corporate media throwing stuff against the wall and seeing what sticks.

creating a racist society that would never elect a black candidate president.
That would appear to still hold true.

Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run.

Yup...still holds true.

No black man will ever be considered for president
This one will fall only if Obama gets the nomination.  Even then I am sure you are quite aware that presidents are appointed in this country and not elected so I will still consider this one true until Obama finishes his first term...Don't forget how long the first catholic lasted.

No black woman can ever be considered for anything outside what she can give with her body
Care to hazard a guess how many posts have been on these boards about getting nake with "Condamnisia Rice"

We put [Nelson] Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there.
True again.  The U.S. even used its security council veto power to prevent an oil embargo on S.Africa and supplied S.Africa with the tools to subjugate its indigenous population.

We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God."

Yup...pretty self evident

Wright is quoted in the magazine offering praise of Farrakhan "as one of the 20th and 21st century giants of the African American religious experience" and also praised Farrakhan's "integrity and honesty."
What do you have to indicate that Farrakhan is not honest?
What do you have to indicate that Farrakhan is not a man of integrity?
You may be uncomfortable with what he says but sometimes the truth is "inconvenient"

What makes it more than nothing is the fact that Rezko is under indictment, and I understand that Obama was named as a potential witness in his trial.

Everything we need to know about "Ace McCain" is in his autobiography "Faith of my Fathers".  In it he admits to being a liar a cheat a pimp a collaborator and a person of low moral character.  Little wonder the Vietnamese tried to give him back as soon as they captured him...they didn't want him in their prison contaminating real warriors.

luckydog1 -> RE: Interesting Quotes from IBM's Pastor (3/15/2008 3:59:02 PM)

Thompson, vacccine A has nothing to with, and does not make the claim that the USA created the AIDS virus to kill off blacks.

The only people trying to silence others are those demanding that the Pasors words not be talked about.  Wright can say anything he likes, and it can be commented on.

The idea that Obama never heard about his pastor preaching that 911 was deserved and was chickens coming home to roost, says Obama is an unaware fool, and kind of a dim bulb. Or a liar.

celticlord2112 -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/15/2008 4:09:06 PM)

It seems it was just a few short years ago when John McCain was the absolute darling of the Left, even their favorite son, forever and horribly wronged by that bad mean ol' George W. Bush

All true.And not just the left.Moderate republicans as well as independent Americans admired him.

And not just because he embarrassed mean ol George W. Bush and the neo-conseratives.

He stood for what`s right and honorable(things neo-cons are strangers to).

However, he`s sold his soul to satin and has become  George W Bush.

There`s no difference accept McCain is much older.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back to the thread....
This is less a deal than McCain`s embrace of the whacked out Christo-nuts he`s tongue kissing with.
However,McCain really doesn`t need to worry about weirdos like Parsley and Haggee now.
They`re basically even on that issue.
luckydog1 -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/15/2008 5:42:58 PM)
Well this a referendum on the war on terror....At least he is staking a stark and bold position. Remeber he is going to sit down with no conditions to talk to our enemies.  Of course that is part of the referendum, are they our enemies, or should "God Damn America" and bring those chickens home to roost..  Clearly that is the position taken by SOME on these boards and SOME Obama supporters.  And we are seeing the Partisan Democrats demanding to silence the conversation...
Please show me the religous nut that is Mc Caines personal Spitirual advisor, who he has given 5 figure donations to?  We need a specific name here...Oh wait, there isn't one.
Obama will be dropping out within a week.  We haven't even gotten into what his Spiritual advisor says about the Jews and Isreal.
After you alienate the Jews, you have no chance as a Democrat.  But its ok, Lieberman will help them feel comfortable, along with everyone else who thinks Ferarro is being treated ridiculously.  Or who thinks we actually do have a fight with radical Islamics who want to re order the world, despite differences in strategy.
