WTF?

God you piece of shit, you worthless motherfucker, come and strike me down right now you little faggot if you are so all powerful and shit.
What is he gonna do? Where is this god?

I believe the bible says that your god will answer and in short order.

Well, heres the fucking thing ace, he cant and wont.

We need less tarring and more action.  And I have talked to you on the boards and that don't make us asshole buddies by a long fucking shot.

I have also talked to Bita at length, never met (but I hope to) and that dont make us asshole buddies either.

So, how exactly is this germaine to any fucking thing but a couple beers?

Ron

The funny thing about all this is,  if Obama still gets elected after this increasingly dirty campaign, I might have to start respecting America for the first time.  Fuck.

dcnovice -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 6:39:47 PM)

<fast reply>

Preachers do say astounding things sometimes, sometimes for effect. Can you imagine following someone who came out with any of the following?

Let the dead bury their own dead.

I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

It is not right to take the children's [Jews'] bread and toss it to their dogs [gentiles].

And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out.

mnottertail -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 6:55:01 PM)

Do I think faith will be an important part of being a good president? Yes, I do.

George Bush

People voted for this ignorant motherfucker, why not some other ignorant motherfucker? Is ignorance of reality some new science or is it just something been with us since the dawn of time? I don't wish to enter into an enlightened discourse between intelligent design and we got drunk and fucked and this is what popped the fuck out, but I am leaning neo-conservative in my views tonight, and we should probably revisit this. How is one ignorant motherfucker gonna bring us to our knees and the other out there doing good works?

Curiously,
Ron

Methinks you sittin in church for 20 faithful years listening to Bita or CL as your pastor and spiritual advisor would make for an exceedingly good story to tell over a couple (the word "couple" always to be interpreted loosely in contexts involving beer).

Everyone keeps bringing up Falwell and Robertson....

But has any president actually been a member of Robertson's or Falwell's congregation?

Obama is a MEMBER of Jeremiah Wright's church!

Who did you vote for in the last two elections?

2000: Pat Buchanan. Because he supported cutting government programs and agencies.
2004: Bush
I will never in my entire life cast a vote for a socialist. And that's pretty much the only type of candidates the Democrats nominate these days. John Kerry scared the shit out of me so much I voted for Bush. For 2008....McCain is a big-government elitest. Hillary makes my blood run cold. And Obama is just a joke in my opinion. I think Obama will win this November, but he'll be out in 4 years because he's the 2nd coming of Jimmy Carter. When he screws up the mid-east and Iraq finally goes into Civil War...we will have $8 a gallon gas and the dollar will be near collapse since the only ones keeping it afloat are our arab "allies" over in Saudi Arabia.

ROTFLMAO...

You did,young man.

Did you know that Pat ran with Marxists/radical feminist Lenora Fulani of the  New Alliance Party?

Yup. Pat ran with a commie and you voted for her.lol Only in America....lol

Maybe you`re to young for politics....

Your post, "Wow.  This is pathetic, even for you" was indeed a personal attack, Stef. I don't blame you though, as it's completely understandable that you're so angry and upset right now anyway, with your candidate Obama slipping so suddenly through the cracks into oblivion like this.

Are you saying it's less pathetic than your usual arguments, because I think you easily set a new low with this one.  In the spirit of the election, should we put it to a vote?

For that to be true, two things would first have to happen.

First, the so called slipping you describe would have to actually be happening.  Since the only people who appear to have their Strawberry Shortcake Underoos in a wad over this are those who probably have nightmares about a woman or a black man in the oval office, it's probably only an issue to the people who were already going to vote for the Manchurian Candidate, so I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Second, Obama would have to be my candidate.  Sadly, mine isn't in the primary.  It's going to make for an interesting election.

Nice try though.

Sanity, baby; I love you , but what is the fucking sense of arguing one sidedly?  Where is your candidate in the polls?

Muttling -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 8:15:55 PM)

In comparison what I am being told is frequently said from black ministers, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson sound danged pretty reasonable.

HOWEVER, I am still not going to name either of them my "spiritual advisor" and I'm not going to attend a church with their spew.

slvemike4u -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 8:18:53 PM)

Wow who knew that all across this great country of ours black preachers are spewing hate and venom from the pulpit,is there no where for a godfearing black man to pray with out being subjected to this venom.Tell me there is some sort of unitarian baptist watchamacallit where the word of god can be preached without spewing hate for the goverment.Didn't Jesus himself decline when given the opportunity to attack rome, can't we ask the same of our preachers today ,to give unto ceasar and all that shit....I really can't accept the argument that this shit happens in most black churches, just another way to fill the pews, please tell me thats bullshit

Muttling -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 8:21:56 PM)

I expected that kind of a response, so I will give you the quote that I am pulling it from:

hey it's my pastor making news ...again

i do have to say - it was very good sermon

Girlfriend? can I get an AMEN up in here?

AMEN!

i like Pastor Wright - he's not afraid to speak his mind especially at the pulpit on Sundays.  besides he's not the only Black minister who does that either.

Sanity -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 8:22:11 PM)

Fuck, I hate all of them. I think McCain's the lesser of all the evils though, and I also believe that if we get either Dem in there it would be a Republican landslide four years later.

This hate-America shit though, that Obama apparently sat through every Sunday, pisses me off to no end. Some here say there's nothing wrong with it, we should hate America... while others say Obama has officially distanced himself from his personal representative of Christ for the last two decades who spews that garbage...

Fuck the red tape. That's where the man went to worship!

What's screaming the loudest to me though, is how NBC, CBS, and CNN aren't covering this at all. ABC gave it about ten seconds. Hillary and the rest of the Dems are ignoring it the best they can, pretending it's nothing...

News flash though, this isn't going anywhere. When will the Libs ever learn - you have to hide who you are if you really want power.

Better than that at least! This ain't goin' nowhere.

I was drunk, and couldnt admit it, even to myself.  The truth is, stef, the surge is working and I'm gonna vote another eight years of Bush, because it has worked out so well so far, I hope we can forgive and forget, and if we can't; just remember; we can always have the words that Obamas, pastors cats uncles fathers somebodies somewhere something said............

If only we had more people like Nixon, Bush, Reagan, Newt Gingrich, and Strom Thurman in the government; we wouldn't be having these kinda problems. 'Cause these kinda motherfuckers are the bomb!!!!!

Or didn't you get that out of it?

Ron

YES and 2 points to be made here...

First: You can go right to the source and ask her about it since I do not know what goes on in predominantly black churches.  (See the above post)

Second:  Would you prefer that Obama's "spiritual advisor" be a way out of mainstream fanatic spewing this crap or a mainstream fanatic spewing this crap?   Tell me which is worse?

I don't want to dignify your response with a nitpicking reply, but you must know that the above is disillusion of the grandest scale.

slvemike4u -> RE: Interesting Quotes from Obama's Pastor (3/14/2008 8:28:22 PM)

inadvertently sent that last post in before i was finished ,didn't mean to imply that complaining about your gov. is wrong ,i just think when standing in front of a congregation in possession of a bully pulpit so to speak you might want to preach gospel instead of hate. And incidentally aren't there laws concerning tax exemption that have been violated..I was brought up roman catholic dragged to church every Sunday by my mother i can't recall one sermon that deviated from scripture or Paul's letters to the Corinthians or some such nonsense .For the life of me i can't remember my priest railing against the gov. or backing a particular candidate..
