ORIGINAL: MissSCD Greetings: I know most of you have heard about the scandal involving the New York Senator and his $80,000 prostitute ring. My question to women and men alike is where do we draw the line when our spouse is caught cheating? His wife stood by him, or at least stood up there with him. The poor thing was in shock. I am sure she did this as part of the job as First Lady of New York. She should have been allowed to speak. When Hillary stood by Bill, we knew she was probably going to beat him up when he got home, or she did not care. This lady appeared to be in shock as I was when I caught my ex cheating. It was bad enough to go through it with my small family, but for the entire country to know, it would have been devestating. What do you think? Regards, MissSCD Hillary didn't care. Bill was her mealticket and VIP pass into politics. What bothers me about this situation was the expectation that she should be "Dumping that lying cheating bastard" as if it's any of our business. The man is guilty of a misdemeanor. Losing his position as governor is on par with firing the CEO of a major corporation for cheating on his income taxes. The impact it has on his wife is NONE of the public's business. Nobody elected his wife to be First Lady; her involvement in this situation is pointless. Additionally, the assumption that she should be 'allowed' to speak is false. She is allowed to speak. She could write a book, spun off into a miniseries "the Governor, the whore, and I" or whatever she wants to do. That she chooses to handle a private family situation with dignity and grace speaks much of her own character. That we as a nation are howling for his blood because he was unfaithful sounds more like the social direction to bring back the Roman gladiatorial games. Everyone loves seeing blood fly; the bigger the man, the more blood in his body I guess. Stephan
