Maybe not in YOUR high school...............

well that was 20 yrs ago...and obesity wasnt that much of a crisis as it is now....i dont even recall seeing any women over say 200 lbs...back then at my school.  its more common now... and obesity would be the only reason for E+ sizes (not being mean..just an observation)  also there are alot more TALLER women than back then...holy smokes...i feel short these days.

~FR~

I thought I was a skinny nerd. Actually I was a pear-shaped nerd, with hips 10" larger than my waist. If my bustline hadd also been 10" larger than my waist, I'd have had the perfect hourglass figure, and maybe I'd have been more popular. *sigh* But the hand-me-downs from my sisters who were 9 years older than I meant I was 9 years out of date fashion-wise (a capital sin in the 1960s).

"Scientific" research like this amuses me. Some so-called scientist gets an idea, gets a government grant, does some "research," and comes up with figures to support that idea. Meanwhile he is living off taxpayer dollars and not being really useful or productive.

My unscientific survey, thinking about all the women I know indicates there is no relationship between body shape and intelligence.

Could curvier women be more intelligent than their skinnier peers? A new study seems to suggest that this is the case. But there may be more to these findings than meets the eyes.

By DAN CHILDS
ABC News Medical Unit

The Claim
Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of California at Santa Barbara looked at data from a study of more than 16,000 women and girls from 1988 to 1994 that detailed their body measurements, as well as their education level and their scores on various cognitive tests.

What they report is that women with waists that were about 70 percent of the diameter of their hips scored slightly better on intelligence tests and tended to have a slightly higher level of education than women with a higher waist-to-hip ratio, or WHR.

The study was published in the journal of Evolution and Human Behavior.

"Controlling for other correlates of cognitive ability, women with lower WHRs and their children have significantly higher cognitive test scores," the study authors note in the article.

And the study authors also said that men, whether they know it or not, tend to prefer mates with a lower waist-to-hip ratio because of this advantage.

The researchers suggest that the reason for the findings lies in the differences between the fat stored in the hips and legs, and that stored in the belly. The fat surrounding fuller hips and thighs, they said, holds higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which foster brain growth.

As long as they're your skinny peers, I think you're golden!

Actually "Bubbles" Hahn was an itty bitty little thing. Probably about 5'2". Definately not overweight at all. But she had these MASSIVE tatas! Way way bigger than my own and I have always been of the larger variety. She and I were two of the few that were probably a full C cup by the end of 6th grade. She was just so tiny compared to my 5'6", that they seemed so much bigger on her. She was definately bigger than a D by the end of junior high. At my adult thinnest ever I was a D+ish.

It must be all that hormone filled milk and beef............

Well, Tigresse, all these details about your anatomy make me think you must be  very intelligent  (not that I ever doubted it).
