and i've learned

no matter where i go, i have a jersey accent, especially when i'm drunk and angry

Status: offline 		I guess my accent is basically "neutral".  I grew up in Europe, and have lived in the South, the Mid-Atlantic and the West.  Oddly enough, having  never lived in the northern part of the US, many people ask if I am from Conneticutt? lol

Status: offline 		- army brat- when I get mad who knows what language will fly out of my mouth! LoL. When around people with accents it is hard not to revert to speaking in that particular tongue - I catch myself swearing at people in german or spanish all the time-

This is true, people always make fun of "New Joisey", but no one from there says it that way!  That came from Brooklyn & the Bronx. 

I'm from NE Ohio, lived in Southern NJ for 11 years and was told I had an accent!  Must be that "neutral" one.  Now I'm in Northern VA and there's everything here from neutral to Dueling Banjos.

Status: offline 		I'm neutral most of the time. I was dragged around the country a lot as a kid. When I'm very tired or stressed,  I pick up a deep southern accent, like I grew up in Georgia or Mississippi. Which is really strange since I've always done it & never lived in the deep south.

Status: offline 		Another neutral, which isn't surprising... i grew up in CT, been living in SC for almost 10 years now. i'm also really prone to picking up the accenta of the person i'm talking to... i always worry that they're going to think i'm making fun of them, but it just happens

LMAO.......   so true, so very, very true.

I still find that I'm flat out neutral, except when I'm really tired or really being flirtatious with someone not from around here.  Then a smidgen of silky southern oozes out, not much, but just a hint...
