you should have point out to him that since he drives a Porsche and graduated from an Ivy League university - he's not black enough to be Black anymore. he has NO clue what's like being discriminated as a "real" Black man.

The poor white underclass often believes it is a victim of black on white racism: it may be true in some cases, but it doesn't erase the fact that there exists widespread institutional racism against black people. I think all sides are manipulated by the WASPS myself.

The story was good and had social merit and then you had to add this boo fuckin' hoo poor me post. It went from a note worthy comment about a relevant social condition to being all about you.....................again. Judging buy you and your friend I'm left to wonder what they teach at Rice.

There's nothing more irritating than oversensitive or manipulative people playing the race card. Part of what's in play with the Democratic primary is the media --- which cannot see Hillary and Obama as simply candidates. She's a woman and he's a black man. I think each is running a very tight campaign, although clearly Hillary's back is against the WALL. I like Obama for his ORATORY and his message. His oratory is inspiring and his message is one of unification. Also, coming from more outside the system, he speaks with refreshing candor; to wit -- his views on the IRAQ war dating back to 2002. Watching the Obama-Hillary debates --- its just great to witness the absence fear mongering, creationism, and flag pins on the lapels --- while seeing two really intelligent people articulate their positions. As I have seen it, the major differences between them are: age, charisma, and insider v. outsider distinctions. In this fold, I'm going with youth, charisma, and being more of an outsider. I'm also with the general consensus that Obama would be harder for McCain to defeat. Sorry to talk about politics when the thread is really about race card dating. I've had similar incidents here when in conflict with some of my neighbors.

What I find funny is that the race card is BULLSHIT these days. There is More discrimination against "White" people now then there is against Any of the other races. Sure Things that happened to Blacks, Jews, and Asians (After Korea) that were BAD but most people today did not live in that time they lived close to it but not in it. This guy first off is justa blow hard. I am more disappointed in you for dating a jack ass like this and for the duration of time that you did. The guys a Dick but you chose to date a dick. I may dislike this guy for what he says but I would know how he was before a dated him. (Not that I date guys) but still the point remains, you knew how this guy was and then when you see him do what you already knew he does in a social setting you run off. Don't feel bad I would have done the same thing, but I also feel I would not have been with someone who did nothing but talk about how hard it is for them to like whitey when I was white. Obama doesn't know jack shit except what his mother and relatives have told him..Try being a poor boy from the south trying to lift his self up by the boot straps...Borned with silver spoon in his mouth and as SAM has said doesn't know how to be a black and now trying to get back to his roots to win the black votes....Hes white trying to become black..I pity his children with their lost heritage, confused in both the worlds of black and white..He may make a good president with a good running mate and a congress that keeps him in check..Just my 3 cents on the matter...

Ummmm so is there a percentage? Does a person have to be X% black to be black? Or is it ones income that shows just how black a black has to be to be black? Maybe it is a calculated mix of both?Add X% bloodline then divide by Y% of income? Is there a standard for every race color and creed that tells us just who is entitled to claim what they are?

BTW Obama's wife is a black woman, so i'm sure his kids are ok. There is a difference in social standing and race, and even rich black people...hell Oprah is still black.
