Hello, I have noticed when viewing profiles a large number of people (with the majority I have viewed being Male Doms) have a picture or two of their toy collection. What is the reasoning behind this? When I see it, I have the reaction of either "oooo pretty" or "they took this so they can say, look, I'm a real pervert!" It has never occured to me to take pictures of my toy collection to post in an online profile. Anyone have a reaction or opinion on this? I tend to be turned off when I see a profile that states that someone has no experience, yet has a large toy collection - although I haven't quite sorted out why. Maybe I just can't imagine that their aim is any good... (oh, and I'm not browsing Dom profiles for any reason besides boredom, so this is not a troll invite)

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm never quite done buying stuff myself. It's more of the displaying it aspect I was wondering about.

Whoa, you have read my MIND! But I am seeing sub males displaying their fineass dildo collections.... what is up with this? Do they think that we will not come prepared to play? Do they think they will not be ordered to SHOP in advance for what we want to have as a disposable item?

I'd imagine some people get the reverse feeling: That someone who has no toys automatically doesn't have much experience. So by posting pics of a big pile of toys, they're trying to imply they're more experienced (or at least more likely to be experienced) than someone with no pics.

well...I have the toy collection picture set last in my profile. I suppose I am doing it to show a bit of experience, that I'm not someone who bought a pair of handcuffs at spencer's and then wandered into Collarme off of the street. I posted the picture hoping to garner more interest in my profile, perhaps to get a woman's imagination working more. So, let's boil this down to an infinity of social evolution. I did it to try and set myself apart from everyone else. Although after seeing what people think of people with toy pictures, I'm considering taking it down.

I get the feeling when there are ten photos of toys, that they are more interested in using the toys than in having a relationship. Obviously this may not be true, but it's the way it comes across. I'd rather no pictures of toys and more pictures of his life; his dog, the place he goes for hikes or picnics, a piece of art that speaks to him etc. These tell me much more about his life and the kind of person he is.

I've never put up a pic of My entire collection. It would make for an interesting attempt, but I haven't pulled it off yet. I have posted pics of Myself with a particular toy, especially if the color of the toy matched the outfit I was wearing. (There's a couple of those in My profile photos.) I've also put up a shot or two of Myself with those toys that seem to be favorites of the folks I play with. I have one flogger that people have renamed "The Dragon's Teeth", so it's a particular favorite of Mine. I also have one somewhere of Me with "The Jewel of the Crown" which was custom made for Me by a friend of Mine.

I don't have a pic of my toys on my profile and don't see what would by me. I mean after all my boy's are my toys and if anyone would like to see them they can ask. The other inanimate toys are just implements of my pleasure. Mike

that's funny, I was just thinking of posting a picture of my two pups about an hour ago, but decided I didn't want someone to get confused, and then I would find myself up on beastiality charges or something I decided against it.

A) It very much is a "best toys wins" mentality- OMG when two kinky doms meet, it's like a greeting ritual "The showing of the toybags" and they hold up each toy like their firstborn and expect you to ooh and aah like you've never seen anything as cool in your life as NIPPLE CLAMPS made out ot SKEWERS!!
