yes, i am special, thank you for noticing and yeah, i knew you were being a smart-ass when you said it!  if training is about doing as you suggest, then just because you do something means you're trained at it?  yeah, that makes sense; NOT!

besides, what the hell do you care what i think; this is a forum for opinion sharing; don't like it, bite me!

there's nothing 'special' about writing a journal, giving sexual service, staying healthy, etc., and none of those things are things that myself and my partner wouldn't already know about each other if we actually 'both' communicated once in a while;

sooooooooo, with that said, i wouldn't 'anticipate' those or any other things to be added to a 'list' that someone tries to play off as 'training'.

What do you mean by "play off"?  It's not weely weel, it's not truuuly true?

Got news for ya:  Lots of people who stay healthy are on training programs.  Anyone who can write in a journal can also fly an airplane, but just because they can does not mean that they do, eh?  Training is about "doing."  And since when did something have to be "special" to qualify as training?

You must be a very special person.

It could mean that you are "IN TRAINING."

Yeah, that makes sense; NOT!

So, if you do something you already know how to do but wouldn't do unless you were in a training program (say, march or yoga or whatever), it isn't training at all.  OTOH, if you do something that you have no clue how to do, then you are in training?  Is that what you are saying?

besides, what the hell do you care what i think; this is a forum for opinion sharing; don't like it, bite me!

ROFL.  I don't care what you think.  I was sharing my opinion.

Down time. If she's working 8 hours a day, commuting for an hour and a half, spending four hours shopping and cooking and cleaning the kitchen, another 8-12 weekly on household chores, hour at the gym plus travel to and fro, etc etc, I'd wonder how she's supposed to do it all. Get out of work at 5, get to gym at 6:00, go to grocery store at 7:30for items you ran out of unexpectedly, get home at 8:15, dinner on table at 9:00, dishes done by 10:00, stay up till 1:00 doing three loads of laundry, cleaning bathrooms etc. Sets alarm for 6:00AM and starts all over. Really think that's workable? For how long before it gets to her? Oh and then you can punish her for neglecting her health on top of it all.

Rather than re-create the wheel, take a look at "bestslavetraining.com." Then take a look at "mackenziecross.ca"
They are reference sites for many of us who train slaves or provide sub/slave mentoring on a regular basis. They are geared to real life training as opposed to theories or cyber training. There is a lot of information in these sites but I wouldn't expect you to consider them the only right way.

You can e-mail me if you have any questions regarding these sites and the information they contain. I don't have all the answers but I've been at this longer than most.

By the way Stephen, having a plan as you say, is a very good idea.

appearance while in public and time management/downtime management are a couple that came to mind.

Stephan, again, another excellent thread.  Along with your seven, I do think some other folks gave some valuable additions.

Had it been Me, I probably would have split a couple of your catagories.  For example, just as you mentioned, I would have had another bullit for protocol.  I would have also added one specifically for community.  That one is probably more My own personal gig because I tend to feel that we should give back to the community that enriches our lives.  Whether that be specific to leather, BDSM, or even just the local organizations where you live.  Granted, that's not important to everyone, so I could certainly understand why it might not be on your list.

As far as being the beginning of a layout, I think it's rather good.  There weren't many things that came across My mind that wouldn't have fit into one of the categories.

And what if she had absolutely ZERO interest in ANY kind of spirituality , and was completely atheist?

I expected someone would mention this.

For my part, addressing Spirituality doesn't mean dictating religion.  It means I have a very deep seated belief that spirituality plays a vital role in emotional health.  I don't expect her to believe what I believe (though we are indeed fortunate to have compatible spirtual goals, as my last slave was agnostic) but I do expect her to explore what she believes in her own manner.  Regards,

Stephan

Morning Folks,

I'm sitting here with a bullet list of about 14 different items, with "Slave Training Plan" at the top.  So far in the bullets, I have:

  • Journal
  • Exercise
  • Diet
  • Sexual
  • Service
  • Career
  • Education
  • Spiritual

For dominants, what else would you list?  For submissive types, what would you anticipate on there?  Just curious.

Stephan

I would add "Future" to your list.

Where do you see yourself in 6 months?
Where do you see us in 6 months?
a year?
five years?
ten years?

Also a "Goals" for those time periods or "Things that one would like to accomplish"

The same thing I do with girls like you who obviously can't read.  Consider yourself lucky, and find your uninvited, unwelcome hijack post here.  In the future, consider making positive contribution to other peoples conversations instead of looking for the one issue that rubs you the wrong way and stomping your feet.

Ms tammyjo I would be interested in reviewing your training program.

quote:

ORIGINAL: thetammyjo

I have a training program I designed, it's about 10 pages long.

To be very honest, I don't share that with anyone whom I am not negotiating such a dynamic with. Why? Because I think it's best for each person to figure out what works best for them and their situation.

There are lots of books and other resources about what you should consider in negotiations so I think folks should be able to figure out something and then trial and error with it over time.

It didn't rub me wrong and I didn't stomp my feet. It was a question. You could of simply said then we wouldn't be compatible, I wouldn't waste an ounce of my effort getting upset at your posts. You should learn to recognize a question, and stop assuming someone gives enough of a concern to  be upset at your words on a screen.

It can also be kind of fun to look back if you're still together when those goals come due and been past, and see how much you've grown and changed. For instance I always wanted to be a foster mom  when i was a kid and after first hand with how corrupt the system can be and how you're put under a microscope like a bug who's expected to go nuclear any moment I wouldn't do it. It's a shame because good homes  for kids in need are in need, but I've realized it just wouldn't be right for me. Mmaybe I would be an emergency stop for them though. Cause a lot of times kids are yanked at moments notice with nothing an no place to be put and the only option is to spend hours an maybe sometimes days in the public child care home.

The first thing that comes to mind is. . . well, I'm not sure what to call it. Deportment? Training in the area of dress, posture, poise, attitude, and other general aspects of how she behaves toward me and toward others.

ooh ouch no roughleather i have to comment on your third point here - if a woman makes eye contact with a man who is looking her over, they don't usually flinch, they take it as a come on and immediately attempt to chat you up and/or follow you home - i had one man follow me in his car for 45 minutes once.  Then they ring your bell at night, and tap on your windows and wait for you to come out.  It can be terrifying.  Just a note of caution.  Many men are overt predators. And not in a good way.
