While you may feel this is an unfair assessment based on the two simple posts that you have made, I am afraid you are not ready to be a master. I know you won't like that and I am sorry, but it is the truth. If you were to take the time to search through the forums here, you would find that in all the threads where it is discussed what it takes to be a master there is a common thread that mastering oneself is a primary, if not first, step to take.

I cannot tell you how to get there, but I can say that what you've shown so far shows a lack of self-mastery and maturity. If you genuinely wish to be a master, then I would recommend you look into yourself and explore some of the traits that make a man (or woman) a master of themselves and desired by others. It only takes an open mind and a desire to learn. Self-awareness, confidence without arrogance, patience, thoughtfulness, humility, perceptiveness, sensitivity, respectfulness, wisdom and honor would be good places to start.

Your profile seems very open and honest for someone who is curious and simply looking for friends and conversation. That is a great place to start and you are ahead of many others in that respect, but if you are ultimately seeking more than that, I'd suggest providing a bit more information. You might start with what you feel a Master/slave relationship should be like... what it is that you expect and what you can provide.

Here's a few threads that my own dominant started shortly after we met... I'd recommend you read them carefully, he's a wise man.

Thats easy. You are being polite and respectful. thats a start. You aren't bashing subs because you haven't found one. Thats another good plus on your side. The Op is being negative and arrogant, calling himself Master whatever at 20. Calling himself a Master at things he has no business to appoint himself a Master of. You see, calling yourself a expert at fireplay at 20 is just ridiculous and as a sub, I am going to value my safety and stay away. A little humility and patience and maturity goes along way here. Keep posting on the forums Hydranmenace and continue to be humble, patient and polite and mature. the arrogance and tantrums of youth are really not appreciated by the strong submissives here. Lucky for you, you seem to have the control needed to be a good Master. Good luck to you.

I believe the following comment to be true and not rude but just the way things are.

In a lawful free society the person giving is truly in control…not the taker. This is often a shock to dominants…especially with naive inflated egos.

Please… I am not say you have an inflated ego but changing your perspective from… “I’m dominate…I deserver your service and response” to “How can I convince this sub I am worthy of their service” will get you a much better response.

It seems to me most women on the internet are cock teasers, if you want to actually meet someone it is far better to meet someone in the real world. Personally I don't bother about the internet, I'm friendly and respond to someone if they sent me a message but I never take meeting seriously because there are usually always so many conditions attached to meeting. Anyway, I live in a place where meeting someone is so easy so I guess I can be rather cynical.

Thank you for those resources, i will read them soon. I did at one time have a 'basic philosophy' on my profile, but i was told it was long winded :) so i took it down. I'll dig and put it back up, or rewrite it. It isn't hard to write out. I appreciate the thoughts.

lusciouslips19, thank you for the compliments and advice. I know i have a ways to go before i call myself a master of anything. I have to start somewhere though. Hopefully posting like this will be a good start on CM. I've already voraciously devoured every related site with useful information i could find. I would like something serious to develop with someone eventually, i don't to downplay that. It's just that for now, until I am meeting people and given the lack of subs in my state (at least who are not hidden) it's more realistic, and probably more useful, to just chat and make some friends.

You are welcome. As for your philosophy, it doesn't need to be long and detailed... there are so many different ideas about what people want from this lifestyle, it doesn't hurt to give a brief look into what it is that you envision. While some people don't care for it and others feel it is over-simplified, this article seems to offer a good start in creating a brief description of who you are and what you are looking for.

Well, I tell ya. many have come on these message boards for friendship and found love. You get to know people and make great friends here whether you meet them or not. I have seen many start out bantering on the forums and then become a couple. Ask Stephann...
So I have no doubt that if you stick around posting some lovely sub will fall for you hard. You have all the tools to make up the character of a good and caring Master.
