Ive had a profile on here for about two years, and ive had very little correspondence, which can be frustrating. I can see why, given the fact that ive only seen 10 active profiles for women id be interested in, in my state, it would be a significant amount of work to reply to every message they get. Im sure it can be overwhelming. On one occasion, i got a simple "thank you but im not interested" which i really appreciated. I think the frustration for me is that id like to improve myself, and my profile. At least if i knew *why* these various subs aren't interested, that would help me as a person. I realize though that expectation is unrealistic. It would be nice, but this isnt a perfect world.
So this being, i think, my first forum post, what could someone new to CM, or someone not having much luck with it, do to improve his or her chances, without coming off as an asshole?

Status: offline 		I am not sure I want to involve myself in the original posters comments, but then on the other hand perhaps my newness to the forum will balance well with is own. So rather than quote anyone, or get in some kind of pointless virtual pissing contest, I will just say this. Since my original post, I have been over run, at least compared to what I had experienced for the last two years on the site, with messages. Not a single one of them was negative. Yes I have had some criticism, but it was all aimed at assisting me with either my profile, my methods of approaching people or pointing out things that I may have missed. All of it was constructive and helpful. Stop taking shit so personally. Relax and try to enjoy yourself. It may not be your intent to come off as some kind of "Master to whom all subs must bow, else hell shall be raised", but that is how you are sounding. No submissive, here or anywhere else besides your home or the home of someone who recognizes you as her master, owes you anything whatsoever. This includes replying to messages. It is not my desire to piss you, MasterDark, or anyone else off. If i have, sadly this is a an honest evaluation of what i have seen thus far and for that i cannot apologize. Look at the differences between our approaches on this forum. You are getting a significant amount of negative feedback, I am getting more positive responses than I know what to do with (Keep em coming though!). This in itself doesn't make me any better than you are as a person, but it must mean that my approach is better. As someone else said, you seem like an intelligent guy. Look at this as a chance to learn and improve who you are as a Dom and a person.

Status: offline 		Interesting, the general consensus on here is that being a master means never standing up for yourself. I don't need people to sypathize or emphasize with me and nor do I expect them too. I've been on plenty of other sites and met some very nice, warm, and open people. I've asked this same question and actually received positive feedback and not just pure critisism and stereotyping. WWhen people are mean to me, I'm an asshole right back. Why on earth should I run and cower under my bed like they obviously want me too so they can feel high and mighty about telling somebody off?? No, I haven't talked to ALL the subs/slaves on here, just the ones I thought shared the same interests. I'm open to feedback, but not when its rammed down my throat.

I completely disagree. I know a few people who have met their "one" (sometimes two, greedy buggers!!) here on CM and they're are deliriously happy.

CM is also a place where you will meet wonderful people who may only ever be your friend, but are just as valuable, beautiful and treasured.

No where on the earth is there a place where everyone get's along, that is the nature of individuals. But if you make someone smile, or someone makes you smile, then it's a good place to be.

You come off as if you are owed something by the subs/slaves you write to. You are not. The lack of response you recieve IS your response.
You have been on this site 6 days and are endearing yourself to all by saying, in your vast experience here, you find ignorance.
You are new, your age is against you (sorry..it's a fact), and you seem to feel a sense of entitlement because you call yourself a master.
