I'm curious, Dark. What sort of experience led up to your becoming a master? I see a lot of males call themselves such and so, but I never seem able to find out how they got their titles. I mean, it's not like the Army, where ya go to OCS and come out Lt. JG. It's not like the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, where there's apprenticehood, journeyman (interesting word), master. How did you get to be a "Master"?

To be respected ..one must respect others ...... all of us were new once ... I think the issue is that some expect to be treated as an expert without giving people a chance to know anything about them. Its hard for most of us to believe that anyone can be a expert at the lifestyle at 20 .........there may be exceptions but it is hard for us to just accept without question..... Posting on the boards is a great way to get to know people and to let us get to know you but ... attacking and being thin skinned doesnt help .... sometimes our posts get us flamed ... my advice is to stand up for what you believe without attacking anyone. Personal attacks by ANYONE only shows immaturity .... All of us can be " snippy " at times ... we are human ...... but we can also learn from others viewpoints .. and if we can post our opinions without the personal attacks and flames we all benefit . As for not getting replies to your emails.... Take it as a not interested ... you are selling yourself ... so to capture someones attention ... sell yourself better ...

Why don't we give Mister dark actual helpful advice, that may help everything, what do we look for when someone is approaching us, what messages do we respond to?...I for one look for proper word useage and will respond to messages that show they read my profile and noticed my intrests,life ect..

Only those who don't respond can say 'why' and they're not talking. I wouldn't be disheartened though. If you are selective in your mailings choosing only those young ladies who's own profiles indicate at least a moderate compatibility with yours, eventually you may strike gold. I would highly suggest that you network, attend your local groups and functions, get to some national events if you can, attend classes and think about the sort of slave you would like to own. Think about what sort of Master it would take to attract that sort of slave, then do an honest assessment on whether or not you are that person. If not, it's a chance to work on self to become that which you desire to be and if so, well.. all of us have other areas we can work on to make sure we're well-rounded individuals and that is regardless of our chronological age. The only thing i can say about cm..is I made a couple of really good Dom Friends...but as far as finding a Dom/Master...the emotional ride is to much for me..they either want to break you down completely and rebuild you...or lie and bs you..and forget about builidng trust...and if you are a sub..you are considered weak because you are not a slave that gives up all her rights...where did the true meaning of the lifestyle go....
