My nicks usually can be taken more than one way and they usually mean something to me  other than what everyone else thinks of them.

I came up with Travelgman when I joined alt last year. As I had just recently moved from the area where I was born and lived all of my life to a new state and pretty much started over. That and I like to travel and  see new places in general. Also life is a journey I am always traveling down and finding new things to do and see.

Sees the reference to Bad Ass nicks. Oh some 10 years ago or so back in my yahoo chat days and on the first lifestyle site I ever hung out on I had the nick of Firmhandofdiscipline. Most people thought it was a reference to spanking but I was actually referring to mental discipline and how I controlled my relationships and would not allow any  deviations from  what I wanted. No matter how much some subies might beg and plead. Which is not to say I do not enjoy having a literal Firmhand sometimes.

Maya  in russian  a derivative of Mary..or Maria --my real name
In Hindu  means a dream or an illusion ---most people I know in my public life would never expect that I have a kinky side to me

the numbers themselves have no significant meaning

I'm a sub, and I'm a librarian. Not very imaginative but it's descriptive. I figure it can't hurt to put the librarian bit out there as I've heard many times since becoming one  - "You're a librarian? That's so hot."

darchChylde (pronounced dark child) has been my online persona since i was little more than a child myself (maybe 14-16). It started out as a character i played in Vampire: the Masquerade and it stuck on me for my friends at the time.

darth,

Nothing like continuity plus I bet you have no problems when going into a new site.

I chose my nickname when I first started visiting chatrooms.  I'd never heard of Dominants and subs and was contacted by a Master who assumed that sblady stood for submissive lady.  So, perhaps it was fate.

Oh, by the way...there are many derivatives of sblady.  Too many to list here.

I had heard - or read that your nickname was supposed to say something about you,  so.... kiwi because i came from New Zealand originally, sub  for obvious reasons, and 12 because i needed numbers - they are close together and easy to type.
Not terribly complicated, but then, neither am i .

Red_Anhedonia (here without the underscore)  is a nick I've been using for a little more than a year.  I began using it on Adult Friend Finder, basically to weed out the 'big dumb idiots'.  I was tired of getting e-mails from people who could barely put two words together.

And yes it does describe me.

I have Red hair.

I am a self described nymphomaniac.  The medical definition of nymphomanic is: Morbid and uncontrollable sexual desire in women, constituting a true disease.

My previous Nickname had been RedHairedNympho or something like that.... lacked imagination and I knew I would change it eventually.  Then I read about anhedonia ... another medical condition ... of which I haven't been officially diagnosed, but hasn't been ruled out either.

The medical definition of Anhedonia is: Absence of pleasure from the performance of acts that would ordinarily be pleasurable.

So in essence I should call myself Red_Anhedonia_Nymphomania .... but that is a bit long... don'cha think?

Well for me, i decided to change my nick at the start of the New Year. I wasn't happy with the way my life was going and had decided to start over fresh. I like the image of the Phoenix rising from the ashes. On Alt, my nick (the original) is PhoenixRising08, and well, the version i use here is pretty well self-evident.

I'm actually a Drow, a High Priestess of Lloth from the city of Menzoberrazan in the Underdark. No wait thats a character I used to roleplay online, or is it?

I like the name...

Kallisto - in Greek mythology she was a nymph seduced by Zeus.   I love Greek mythology.

I've been fascinated by jaguars since I was a child, I purr in my sleep, and for some reason (whether because I'm happy or I'm up to something) I'm usually smiling.

I'm a gypsy, nomad, wanderer.  I don't really settle down.  I usually use some varient on that theme for on-line stuff.  I used to go by astray, but too many people confused that with ashtray.    So I don't use that anymore, especially not in these circles where its a valid fetish.  I don't want someone to mistake it for a fantasy of mine and try to put their ciggarette out on my forehead. :)
