I think I'm a pretty nice person, giving, nurturing and protective......  I watch over those in my care - thus the 'angel' part.

Rather than label myself as a pervert or kinky or what have you, I like the sound of being 'naughty'.

And the BR part is because I live in the Baton Rouge area.

I have a profile on alt so that I can chat with friends, and on there (and livejournal) I am 'hisnaughtyangel', because I love acknowledging that I belong to Him.

I was hoping this one was self-explanatory, but I have found many who still don't get it.

Exogenous – the name of one of my favorite race horses, a beautiful and talented filly.

I had never heard the word, exogenous, before knowing this filly. When I looked this word up in the dictionary I liked it, even more.

a. of plants, (as the dicotyledons) having stems that grow by the addition of an annual layer of wood to the outside beneath the bark.

I was reminded of the movie, Shrek, where he describes people being like onions in the sense that layers can be peeled back to reveal the real person…and (hopefully) doesn’t leave them crying but brings a wonderful flavor to one’s life.

b. externally caused rather than resulting from conditions within the organism.

It's interesting to learn how/why folks react to experiences “externally caused” in their lives (myself included); specifically the way those experiences influence (positively or negatively) their reactions and (internal) growth.

This thread can apply to both sides of mthe slash as it focuses on persona not gender.
sometime , just review the Nicks used here on CM or Alt, or Bondage and ponder why that was chosed to represent the person behind it.

Dominants in the larger majority seem to feel a need to present an aura or macho bad as in some context and lately I see many subs proundly refering to themselves as some form of strength or brat persona, yet when one gets an opportunity to get to know these folks better, the nick just does not match the person.

Any thoughts?

CP

I started using this nickname / username on bondage.com about 10 years ago. I liked the sounds and the way it flows. It's feminine with out being frilly girlyish.

I use the same nickname on any site I'm registered on. I can't be bothered to have a hat full of personas. I have two other user names I use or used to use. Quebie was one I used when I used to game online alot. and myphious which i use on registrations for other things.

I like names that are basically unique and not going to see 300 versions of the same name on the website.

GreedyTop.. because when I am topping I am greedy for the energy exchange between myself and the bottom.

I'm also known as AgonyIsEcstasy... because there is such a fine line between the two :)  It's also a twist on the title of a song by one of my favorite bands (Savatage).

I have had some variation of this screen name for the past 11 years (sometimes I have numbers at the end).   I originally wanted to be Angelique (taken from Dark Shadows) a name I have loved since a little girl, but it was taken.

Oh, I have also been known as "ishavedmylegsforthis".

I am most drawn in the lifestyle to penetration play, devices, and bondage, hence, ToysAndTies.  Also, I was trying to find a more suitable lifestyle name when it was pointed out to me how easily the wrong photo could leak to someone with a vendetta.  TNT works for me:  dangerous, fun, and explosive.

Strangely we aren't hearing from Oral4U, and Spankmeplz or LordnMaster-such a shame, I was hoping for some insight....

TN is an anacronym for an online name I used to use when I was into cybering on Yahoo. I decided it was too overtly sexual for these forums so I shortened it to TN- and added "stepsout" to show that I was finally going to get the hell out from behind my keyboard. It would probably be more truthful if I used TNstepsoutandthenrunsbackhome, but that's just too long.

My brain tells me that 1066 is the Battle of Hastings. I checked it on google and my brain is right. I love how sometimes it throws random knowledge my way for no reason. I have no idea why I know that. I love my brain.

Anyway. . .

Grey has been a nickname of mine since I was a teenager. Some friends of mine once made everyone leather bracelets engraved with what they considered a dominant personality trait of the giftee. Things like "creative" and "dramatic" and "scientific" and so on. Mine said "neutral." I was a little confused, so I asked them about it. They told me that they chose it for me because I never jumped to conclusions about people and always examined both sides of an issue, and also because everyone was always welcome in my house not matter what kind of drama was going down at the time. They started calling me the grey one. I took it as a compliment, and used it as my first irc/hacker handle back when that sort of thing actually mattered. I have a lot of computer geek/hacker friends who only know me by that first handle.

Lady Grey is a new incarnation for my Dominant self. It suits me well. I don't know anyone who has met me who thinks otherwise, and people have started calling me Lady Grey in real life as well because they say it suits me.

Kind. . .well, that part should be self explanatory. I added it because I wanted to make it clear that I'm not one of those Dommes who is mean just to be more Domly.

All that said, I too would love to hear from mycock4u and assrapeluvr and so on.

Maya  in russian  a derivative of Mary..or Maria --my real name
In Hindu  means a dream or an illusion ---most people I know in my public life would never expect that I have a kinky side to me

the numbers themselves have no significant meaning

*smiles* I always found the name Maya to be facinating. It as you said being Mary in Russian... and The word for Illusion or this Physical "reality" that is the illusion we call Maya ( which they see as negative )

Gwyn,
Who also goes by Barasha.. and Kaiya Barasha in other places.

I actually use this nick because it's a name that my friends started using for me; I have two that I have been given by various groups I know, and this is one of them.

So I suspect it's probably much more accurate than I ever intended it to be, but it also makes me laugh.

I overheard a friend of mine say a long time ago of me, "she's not really Gothic, she's just goth-ish" and I loved it. It was amazingly apropos.

Posted by CelticPrince...Did some some sadistic prick announce it was IRONY day and not tell me?

My email and screen name was for a very long time "Master_of_Pain" on yahoo and I was the first one to use that derivation.  At some point it became an embarassment but I had used it for so long I kept it up for many years.

I began on CollarMe as CrappyDom, something I took as a reaction to what Celtic Prince complains about people picking grandiouse names.  At some point I realized my reasons for choosing the name were not as healthy as I wanted and I adopted SimplyMichael because ModestMichael would have been over the top, even for me.
