Dude, it was *all* about the 2004 Poppy crop...

The Taliban, despite being animals, *did* shutdown the poppy fields in Afghanistan. The Loyal Bushies can't keep the poor niggers poor without cheap heroin, so the Taliban couldn't be left in control.

Fwiw, there've been record harvests every year since...

And no-one in the Ghetto's bringing it in... You need -- like your own air force or something -- to move that shit... And the *serious* ability to evade the banking surveillance....

Hey, didn't these jokers supply LA with coke in the 80's and buy weapons to give the Iranians? I'm just glad to have lived through the ray-gun years -- my recall's kinda hazy...

Termyn8or -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/11/2008 9:01:49 PM)

I have to agree with you kit. This is out of hand.

Every political discussion seems to discourse into a semi-flame war, as it was called on Usenet. There are people out there that just want to best each other. And now we got people telling each other if they live in fear ,,,,, WHAT ?

What happened to the warning from Mod 11 ? This happens all over the OTD section of this board. Certain people feel the need to prove that they are better then each other.

So kit, when you said fuck it, it resonated with me. We have clashed on issues in the past, but I guess we agree to disagree on some things. Of course I expected that anyway, surely you didn't think I expected to find people who all agree with me.

But we do not pollute the threads like SOME PEOPLE do.

I really have to stop now, this is almost a hijack, but it really isn't. It is my rant about the hijack, and the hijack that happens every time anyone brings up something that should really recieve input from many many people. Yet it is reduced to two or three who basically kill the threads because once it has five pages, I don't want to see it.

In between time, somebody may have posted a valid message, original in content and persective, and because of SOME PEOPLE those messages go unread.

I yield the floor.

T

I've had "I'm just going to delete this" moments myself...

Bethnai -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 6:40:53 AM)

I knew I was going to butcher his name as soon as I wrote it.

However, since you have not seen anything until you watch me butcher  attempting to quote a post in my reply posts, I would like to address some other posts.

Miss Sephora, in regards to post # 23:
I do not believe that the creation of Israel caused more dissention than already existed between the Arab states. It actually acted as a way for Arab states to band together. It is still a rallying cry.  A useless one, but nonetheless. The Muslims did not gang up on the Christians in Lebanon. Their constitution demands that there be a Maronite for president. Both Sunni's and Shiite faced extreme discrimination.
Obama bin Laden was a creation of the Arc of Islam theory. Money was matched dollar for dollar between the US and  Saudi Arabia to export Wahhabism (with the aid of Pakistan)  into Afghanistan to destroy the Soviet Union.

Smith117, in regards to post #55,  the Japanese-US relations had begun to deteriorate as early as 1915, possibly earlier.  The problem with the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombings are two fold. One is Japan was already defeated, something that General Curtis LaMay even spoke of. Secondly, the Japanese had been trying to find a way to surrender. Possibly as early as 1943, and the US was aware of this.

The use of them was deliberate and to send a message to the SU: this is what we can do and we will use it even if its not necessary.

MissSepphora1 -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 6:59:05 AM)

Well Bethnai, I hate to tell you how wrong you are, but I will anyway.
The Lebanese president must be Christian, they are historically mainly Maronite.
The Prime Minister is always Sunni - Fuad Sinoria
The Speaker of the Parliament is always Shi'a - Nabih Berri

It was made that way so there would be less descrimination, not more.  And yes, the muslims did gang up on the Christians.  Until of course Syria came in and occupied Lebanon.  And the Christians were very descriminated againt.  Several disappeared, never to be seen again for speaking out.

MissSepphora1 -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:01:14 AM)

Oh, and their constitutional set up is the main reason there is no president in Lebanon right now.

Hezbullah is blocking the vote for the president.

So who is being discriminated against now??????

MissSepphora1 -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:06:31 AM)

Oh, and if Israel was such a "rallying cry" as you put it, then why have the Arab states not ganged up against Israel?  They have  more soldiers, and much much much more money.

It is because they cannot and will not ever get along.  The Sunnis and the Shias fight each other everywhere.  The Saudis are too busy spending their money on 7 million dollar camels to spend even one dollar on aid to Palestine.  Men in Dubai are spending 13 million dollars for a license plate, and kids in Iraq go without shoes.  They are all muslim.  And the Koran says they are supposed to help each other.  So why don't they?

Because they hate each other, and that will never go away.

Bethnai -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:06:51 AM)

I know how the government is set up.  A more "fair" government does not mean equal.

The same people who live in the ghetto's are being discriminated against. They just have access to more jobs now then they did during the time period that you were speaking of.

MissSepphora1 -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:10:04 AM)

And if it were set up to be more equal, then the christians which are a minority would never have a president.  Sometimes fair is just that... fair.

I missed your above post, on Israel.

Israel is more like the whipping boy, when its used (does not detract from what Israel has done), for example..........Ahmadinejad loves to use Israel to denote solidarity with the Arabs.  Really important if your ......Persian and already isolated. Every year the Arab Summit comes around its a point to be made. Qaddaffi finely told them to quit crying about it a few years ago.

This I would like to make clear. There are far more Sunni's then Shia. When it comes to discrimination and well, killings the Shia have little protection.  Its why Iraq is such a deciding factor for ME relationships.

Once upon a time there used to be this Pan-Arab movement, until certain groups (Shia) began to realize..........oh, you didn't mean me.  They are not going to gang up on Israel, because your jacking with the US at that point and definitely to an extent. Because not everything is pro-Israeli.

MissSepphora1 -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:29:16 AM)

Hasn't it been about 30 years since Egypt and Syria "tried to attack" Israel.  Yes, I think it has.  A lot has happened in 30 years.
One of which is Egypt is the nation that gets the 2nd largest amount of aid from the US.  The first is, of course, Israel.  The 3rd is Jordan.
Jordan and Egypt are the only two Arab states who have signed peace treaties with Israel.

Just things that make you go hmmmm.

If it were fair, and I mean all across the board, you wouldn't need that pre-requisite.  Even if you were to do it by population, it would be wrong AND if you trace the Maronites history correctly, you may find that it is Syrian in nature. Hence, the problems.

Bethnai -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:32:30 AM)

You can find the history of Maronite and Syria in Pity the Nation: The Abduction of Israel by Robert Fisk.

MissSepphora1 -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:33:16 AM)

Open your eyes, honey.  They are already "jacking with the US".  Most are just to ignorant or apathetic to notice.  They would rather find out how many babies Angelina Jolie is carrying than read a newspaper.

You may either speak intelligently to me or not at all.

MissSepphora1 -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:35:40 AM)

You would have to go back a long way to find the Maronite roots in Syria, back to a time when borders were fuzzier.  And there is a reason why they left Syria, isn't there?

Bethnai -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:38:29 AM)

Its not at all fuzzy, especially given Syria's desire to control Lebanon.

MissSepphora1 -> RE: War Criminals: In Our Names! (4/12/2008 7:38:45 AM)

Israel went in and "offered protection" to the Lebanese christians.  Funny how fast they backed out on their offer when Syria came in.  Because Israel really doesn't care about anything other than Israel.

And the Christians are just dying to get Syria back in there, aren't they?  Oh, no wait, the Christians are dying, aren't they?
