Okay I am one of those people who views Sex as an action, a Kink in and of itself if you will. To me it is nearly a fetish. The act itself is Sterile of emotion for me, the Person I am doing it with is insighting the emotion. Therefor when I have sex with me wife because I love her the emotion of love is carried out in the action of having sex.

In this you have to understand that this question is being asked of those who see sex as an action and not an emotion. If you cannot have sex with someone you do not love or if you see sex as something that REQUIRES an Emotional attachment then I am sure all of your answers will be the same as you will all require an emotional attachment.

However for those who enjoy sex for the act of sex and have heard about Black Room Orgies, or FurrySex you might be interested in the discussion of Faceless sex.

I am wondering if the idea of not seeing or knowing your partner while having sex with them is erotic to you?

I recently saw an episode of Real Sex (Well not recently it was almost 2 years ago) in which there was this Heodinistic getaway where they had this Orgy room which was PITCH BLACK So dark that you cannot adjust to the darkness and literally have to just feel your way around. The point is that couples use this room to have completely non judgemental sex with random partners all for the enjoyment of sex. The very idea of this was erotic to me. You don't know if you are having sex with the Hot blond or the Drap Brunette or even tha Sassy Redhead all you know is you have your member in (Or having yourself filled by) a complete stranger and you might not even know who it was at all after everything is said and done.

I think as a fantasy it is hot.

First. I do not believe there has to be emotions involved to have sex. I don't even think that love makes the sex better. I think that having sex with someone you care for as an expression of emotion can be fullfilling in the emotional sense even if the sex isn't really that great. Though I will admit that gets tiresome really fast too.

But that said. I do not belive in having sex with strangers. The thought just totally grosses me out. I've had fuck buddies or had sex with someone I've known for a while. But just picking up some loser at the bar and share body fluids.... ya not my thing thanks.

It is about degrees with me. Sex just for sex with a relative stranger can be totally enjoyable but is not going to be in the same ball park as having sex with someone you like and are attracted to let alone the person(s) you love.

I love/lust for sexual objectification but even with that there are ways to go about doing that and yeah the more responsible ways and the more dangerous ways. But yeah I am one that finds it hot and have done it but cannot say I dream about it or need it in my life.

Loveless sex is fine. I don't need to feel love for a person or have them feel love for me to have great sex with them. Sex without emotion, however, is another story.

For me sex is more about the mental than it is about the physical. Ok yes, the body has to be present, but if only my body is involved and I'm "checked out" emotionally, it's not even a little bit thrilling. I like to feel things when I'm being fucked. I like to laugh and cry and wince, and even feel intimidated, excited, happy, sad, scared, anything, as long as I'm feeling something on an emotional level. I like intensity, and when I'm matched with a partner who doesn't have that in him, it's a very empty experience. The dark room with a stranger inside of me wouldn't do anything for me. I'd rather go the rest of my life unfucked. Really.

Hey Steel,
Do I find the idea of sex in complete darkeness with strangers hot. Yeah. As has been said there are many other concerns to take into consideration of acting on such an idea.
Myself, I am much like you in that sex does not necessarily have to evoke emotions of attatchment, however, there are emotions that are felt and fed nonetheless. For me, sex can be simply an act that can feed these without attachtment, or even a certain level of attachment. I think in part that is what I find attractive about the idea of blindfolds, masks, various clothing, and hairstyles, low lighting to darkness, ect... It is perhaps a form of depersonalization in some respects that gives input for heightening various emotions. I am indeed a visual person, but I also enjoy those things that would play on my visual input and certainly the lack there of.
