James had a very small trailer, there wasn't any need to decide what came and what stayed. He just packed up his ford tarus, and drove it all down here to me, and then I went up with my parents an picked the rest up myself. He did tease me for a while that he was going to bring the great big huge broken recliner that stunk from being in a smokers tiny little trailer before donated to us, and I was like NO! NO ROOM! an he'd joke YES, YES ROOM> Now when he moved stuff from his moms place to his little trailer, pure nessessity chose what came and what stayed. Now when we both move from here to our new place, it's mostly going to be me who needs to decide what goes and what stays behind to be donated, since I have the biggest pile of stuff. I've started the thinning the heard process already by getting rid of tons of clothing and chachkis that I no longer want, including a promdress, and a giant slip that went with it.quote:
ORIGINAL: MladyHathor "they ARE a great toy!"... I thought this might be a fun post for a rainy Sunday morning---Many of us in this life are seeking a LTR--which can mean cohabiting at some point---so we are single with independent lives, worlds, stuff etc--lots of us are older, meaning homes, assets, stuff and more stuff---once you decided to meld into a single D/s unit---what are some of the funny and not so funny moments when decisions were made for what came, what saw the trash pile and how your stuff, toys and physical assets got morphed into "ours"? And what do you still mourn the loss of? And what almost broke the camels back? edited to add: I guess there is a converse here as well---if it didn't work out, how did you divide those things?
