I don't know how to explain it.........a certain look in their eye, (and it can't be flat, when I look into their eyes, and sometimes you can tell in a picture.) someone who has an easygoing, humorous side about them.

There are a great many facets to what I find attractive in a Dominant Man.... very very few of them are physical

I am wildly attracted to men with integrity, who are honest about themselves and their desires, and who *actually* understand and live up to their responsibilities - not just talk about them .. but live them

It also essential they are a complete bastard...Now a complete bastard is actually fairly rare ..and its the complete that is the key word ...They have a job and aren't a bum ... they have a house they dont share with someone else ... they have stable finances they run for themselves... they have no messed up shit going on emotionally that they pretend isn't there ... they actually geton really well with their family and friends ... you can be seen with them without cringing because they keep talking about floggers out with your friends. Theyarea *complete* person living a full life in every respect and then they are*ALSO* a bastard.

Although i have been known to make the first contact with a Dom rarely, if ever.. When i am considering replying to an approach from one i take alot of weight in my decision from their profile.
Have they put any effort into it? Does it tell anything of themselves? Is it just the usual generic "kneel bitch" bullshit.. or does it show soul? Do they sound like a real life person or a fantasist? Are they intelligent? Articulate? Is their profile clear, specific, does it inspire me?

i guess the point i'm trying to make is that when a profile is all us s-types have to go on, a lot hinges on that defining whether a Dom is "attractive" or not.

The complete bit is non negotiable ...I am a complete human being .. I have a great work/life balance ... I get on well with friends and family.. I have hopes and dreams and ambitions that span well beyond that new flogger I want to try. Why ..asa complete human being would i settle for an incomplete one?

The bastard bit is slightly more negotiable ... but it has to be said the ones who aren't total bastards with an evil streak a mile wide tend notto last much beyond breakfast the next day

You have it exactly right, sir. Women are not the only inscrutable ones. Life and peeps are complex. I simply accept that and don't judge other peoples experience, taste or particularly need to understand it. I also try not to pre-judge my own experience. Works for me.

Now, a lady who prefers "bad boys" , to me, is quite another thing from one who likes "comlete or total bastards." This , I guess, is where personal definitions matter, and it's why I asked the question.
