I think many people at least have a general idea as to what they are looking for. Some people actually are looking for very specific things. Yes, there are those that don't fully understand all the labels, the options, the activities. They have accepted that they have a few kinks. Some people are not even into D/s, they enjoy S&M. Some people just enjoy Bondage. They are not looking for a Master/Slave relationship. There are even married people that come here looking to hook up with somebody to fullfill their Kinky Sexual Desires because the spouse they love is totally vanilla and won't do it. Some of them are sneaking behind their spouses back, others are upfront about it and their spouse supports them in their efforts. Some people are building Poly households, some people want one-on-one. Some people just want a Play Partner! They are not looking for a long term live in 24/7 thing. Some people are here looking for somebody to train them. OK, there are Goreans, Old Guards, Animal Players, Age Players, Daddy/daughters, Owner/Pet, Master/slave, TPE and None TPE. Nearly anything and everything you can imagine. There are Dom Couples, Switches, Switch Couples, Sub Couples...
Oh yeah, submissives can train people as well. It all depends upon how you define or view training. According to what BDSM handbook. Talk Dogma and Doctrines. There is no true one way to do what it is that we all do.
Some people are open minded, some people not so open minded here. Now, if I want to come on this website, edit my profile, and write something such as "Seeking Play Partners or One night stands" I think that's pretty specific. I enjoy my freedom of choice. If I want to seek out doing something that I find pleasure in, how does this make me wrong? If I want want to hook up with somebody for No Strings Attached Sex, this makes me wrong somehow? Mind you, I'm not looking for NSA sex, but if I do... I'm not going to feel like it's a wrongful shameful thing to do. Yes, people are using this site for SEX. Can you imagine that one! Gee, I can't imagine it either, people actually look for pleasure? You mean people actually like to do things that please themselves? Damn! Damn! Damn! my whole imagine of what the world should be is totally crumbling to pieces, I won't be able to sleep for the rest of the week.

Not all people in "the lifestyle" when they come together see eye to eye on everything. In fact Ugly fights can occur, along with great misunderstandings, people breaking off into their groups, people taking sides. Not everybody that is in "the lifestyle" is of the same mind.
On the flip side of the coin, yes many people do come together and talk about issues and topics. Training methods, kinks, personal issues, looking for help and advice.
Damn, I'm all worked up now! This ranting post of mine, just makes me want to take somebody by the hair, bend them over and use them like a fucktoy for a few hours...
