After reading a story out of Indianapolis, IN (go to www.indystar.com under, "Woman claims self-defense in road rage case" for further details) where on Wednesday, a 19-year old woman was arrested in a road rage incident after attacking an 81-year old woman for alledgedly driving too slow and putting her in jeopardy in a residential area, leaving her with a broken leg and a black eye, it made me furious to where if this had happened to one of my elders, I'd have found the wench, grabbed her, take her to a dungeon, strip her ass naked and given her the worst flogging she ever had in her life. I say this because I'm of the mindset where you don't lay a hand on anyone old enough to be your grandmother or mother in situations like this. But now, the woman who was attacked is recovering and will have to have knew replacement surgery while her attacker, who had her three kids in her car at the time of the incident and claimed she did what she did in self-defense, alledging that her victim had threatened her, has essentially thrown her future in the toilet as she is now facing charges of felony battery and criminal confinement as well as an unrelated charge of attempted armed robbery of a Walgreen's pharmacy. Makes you wonder what the world's coming to, huh?

I dunno... at 81, your body's lost a lot of its ability to heal itself. I guess at the minimum she's going to be in a wheelchair for quite a while.

I wonder if her kids will get taken away since there were apparently in the car with her. What do you think?

Hell yeah she did.  At some point you have to put the old on that piece of ice and push 'em out to sea.  You can't have them impeding traffic like that.  A 19 year old girl with 3 young'uns, who is trying to get ahead in the armed robbery game has places to go and people to see.

A man got out of his car because he was being held up at the lights to postulate and the Forman at the traffic roadworks went to reason with him. The man went to the boot of his car got out a baseball bat and whacked the Forman around the head.

People they get the red mist when they are in their protective little cocoon and think anyone that gets in their way needs to be dealt with. Sadly we’ve got to this state where people see getting into their car and going on a drive like going to war and battle your way to where you are going.

I watched an H&S video about dealing with antagonistic customers:

1.      Listen to what they have to say without interrupting them and let them blow off steam first, whilst nodding to show you are considering their views.
2.      Once they have calmed down a bit, talk to them calmly in a low voice getting your view across in a non adversarial way.
3.      Give him a complaints form; remember to keep your glove compartment stocked up with these forms.

If none of that works run….

If I were a judge (which I am not), I would see to that they were! I mean, this type of behavior warrants having them removed from her home. What's worse, she has screwed her own future doing what she did, but I wonder how she would feel if someone else did that to her when and IF she gets out of jail at age 81.

Actually, FYI, she is going to have knee replacement surgery and is in good spirits despite this. But getting punched in the face, I have a problem with that in a situation as this.

Let me ask you this, Aileen: How would you feel if someone did that to your mother or grandmother? Even worse, how would you feel if a 19 or 18 year old did that to you? Think about it.

She's going to be all right, though as I said earlier, she's going to have knee replacement surgery because of this incident. What's sad is that those three kids witnessed this and to me, that sets an example of poor parenting when one takes off and tries to escape (as she was later stopped by several witnesses before she was arrested). But someday, whether in this life or the next, she's going to get what she deserves: justice.
