Apparently it's an everywhere-but-here nickname. I have a friend from Ohio who mentioned that she was cornholing at a party she went to, and you should have seen the look our Indiana faces. "But... but... it was that kind of party and you didn't invite us?!" It took quite a while, lots of explaining and a ton of giggling to finally sort out what she meant. Whoever came up with that one was either truly an innocent or my new best friend. One or the other.

I'd not heard of "cornholing the game" prior to moving to Ohio, and I was majorly confused.

However, I never heard much about euchre or brats before, either.

i grew up in southern cali..we called it "balling". i haven't thought of that word in ages. however, i still think about fucking everyday...we called it that too.
