Nah, not worth it. With this kind of case, it's better to let them have the last word. Makes them feel content  .

Don't worry I didn't take your post to be harsh...its just sometimes trying to communicate my thoughts just isn't worth the trouble.

And thats why I vote Independant...once again I believe we are saying the same thing differently and the simularities are getting lost in translation.

Thank you for understanding.  It's true, things can get misconstrued sometimes when a word means one thing to one person and then is taken differently by someone else.

It really bothers me when i hear people talk about "The Women's Vote", as if we all vote the same.

Well they can talk about the women's vote all they want doesn't mean I'm gonna vote for Hillary.

What's more American than cheating on your wife? Or smoking pot? Or even admitting to being a draft dodger? At least Clinton (Billy) didn't use his father's clout to skate by and still call himself an "honorable" part of the military personel.

Obama right...so he can lie about his motivations and direction and history and it's cool. Anybody else and they need ot be crucified. Let's not mention that Obama is the one who's bringing up (verbally) the race issue. A nationa that's divided to begin with and he wants to throw out race as an issue. Anybody who doesn't vote for him is racist. Damn...seems a lot like the bullshit Detroit is going through with our Mayor the Ganagsta. It's bullshit.

I'm still voting for Dean. I don't care how crazy he  is. At least I can understand his brand of crazy.

I'm afraid you can't have it both ways. You brought up pasts first, so I brought up how the clinton's past ain't all peaches. The thing is, we know about Obama's past. And I'm fine with it. I know the pundits and opponents are going to try and spin it their own way and I'm not buying it.

BTW Obama hasn't apologized. He's just denied knowledge of it...repeatedly. Which means....you get three guesses....

He's a big fat liar like everybody else.

Actually, he has since given an interview wherein he did, in fact, renounce those beliefs as not matching his own.

Good to hear. I can't STAND when I hear all that rah-rah "sisterhood" crap. Just because she's a woman, she expects every woman to vote for her. Hell my ex said she'd vote for anyone other than her. She's alienating many women, at least the ones I've met and talked to. I kep hearing the line "I wanted to vote for her because I'm a woman....but I just can't. I don't like her policies." Or words to that effect.

That makes it all better. Fuck that he's been part of the man's congregation for years. And damn well knew before now what Wright was preaching. Now that he's turning on the people he's been behind all this time makes it great cuz he's running for president. What's he gonna do if he gets into office.....have another change of heart and fuck us all too?

No not really. I had a great therapist a couple of years back and an amazing sex life to kill the agression. Not to mention ladies' night at the firing range. I'm a huge advocate of healthy outlets.

ya know I think it's funny that some people ask me if I repressed anger...given that I have little desire to filter my opinion and feelings..or expression thereof (in healthy manners of course...healthy and polite are not always the same) and I don't get why I get that question so frequently. I guess it's because for most people they would HAVE to be angry to behave as freely as I do. eh...whatever...I'ma go start the weekend early lol

Nothing wrong with having honest opinions and being willing to express them!
That's what America's all about!

I'd wager you get that question due to the manner in which you choose to express your opinions. You'll notice I've not filtered anything, however I haven't attacked you in a rude, inflammatory fashion, either.

It took me awhile to do that. I suspect you will learn the same level of control in time.

It took me almost 20 years in the adult world and starting my own business to learn to be diplomatic when discussing many issues in public.  It taught me one important thing.  I EFFIN HATE BEING DIPLOFREAKINMATIC!!!!  Don't force yourself to be nice.  Just be honest.  I gave up being diplomatic and nice for my health.  It drove my blood pressure through the roof to not call an asshole an asshole.  Just draw the line at slander and anything illegal and say what the hell you want.  Its better for your heart.

You assume that I don't have the ability to say "fuck you I don't like you or what you think...it's dumb" politely simply because I choose not to exercise that ability on an internet forum. Assumptions and all....

There's a difference between being non-diplomatic and being outright rude and abrasive for its own sake. I often tell people exactly what I think of them. I just usually do so in a fashion that leaves me on a "higher road" so to speak. I find it more amusing to call someone an f-ing retard to their face and have them smile back because they don't have a clue what I said. Meanwhile those of us who "do" know are laughing to ourselves.

Fighting to claim the higher ground because you used bigger words is a battle you can never win.  Its simply lying to yourself.  I CAN use words that send everyone in the room racing for a dictionary but my point was still not made.  If you are afraid to insult them in a language they understand, you might as well keep talking behind their backs.

Boijen, I never claimed you couldn't control yourself or speak politely.  I merely meant that you should never repress what you truly feel to save someone else's feelings and was applauding your ability to say what you thought.  If "Go away.  I don't like you," solves the problem then its all good.  If it takes a stronger statement then why should you hold that back?  Politeness for itself only is a waste of time and a repression of what you truly feel.  Just as rudeness for its own sake is crude and a waste of time.  HONESTY is what I espouse.  BLUNTNESS is what everyone else calls my way of dealing with the world.  The greater virtue is that you never need wonder where you stand with me.

If you notice, I stated that that was what I learned.  It is my way of life.  I can't candy coat the truth because it is a waste of my time and energy.  In business, I won't pretend to like someone to get a booking for my show.  If I dislike someone, I tell them.  I am still turning down performances as I settle in my new home so I don't think its hurting me in the long run to be nondiplomatic.

No, actually I don't assume anything. I simply saying it makes you appear as an angry child who cannot control herself.

When you cannot win an argument an must resort to things like "fuck you, I don't like you," not only have you lost the debate, but you have lost some dignity as well, at least in the eyes of a casual observer.
