Woohoo! I just want to say, to all those who hate her, since she's toured in Indiana, and Barack as well - I've seen them both so many times, sometimes at the same place one after the other. And honestly, she really does have more energy and heart and acts like she really does want to be there. And she has plans and facts, talks longer and takes every random question off the cuff from anyone, no matter how stupid it is (and trust me, Hoosiers can be pretty dumb). She even takes very sexist remarks gracefully, and works her charm even when she disagrees. She's a fighter and never quits. Obama is already showing so much wear and tear, and honestly, she isn't. When he raises his voice like a preacher, everyone cheers no matter what he says. And sort of like at church, my eyes start to lose all focus when he drones on about nothing with no substance. Trust me, I'm feeling like she's going to lose, and will be happy if he wins over McCain, but you all just don't know... She seems bitchy on TV debates a bit, but you all have to see them both in person, when it's not so scripted. It's so so so obvious that she just has thought about everything more, fights harder, and has more experience. I hope Barack has a long career in politics. Honestly, after speaking with so many democrats on either side of this, I think the only way to sooth people is that they run together, Pres and VP, but I think they may be too arrogant to do that. But, I definitely think they should. It would then be a truly historic election. No old white guy veteran neccessary as a VP, heeh. All the critics say Hillary goes for the brain, and Barack for the brain.... but Hillary has won over both organs for me... and I don't know why so many people see her as so divisive. They've both been pretty good at not creaming the other on anything too serious to keep the Republicans from using it later - but really, in every speech I heard in person she literally never mentioned Obama. Ever. The same can definitely not be said for him. She was always about the issues and what she was going to do to take action. He just gave promises and talked of hope and criticized her and said he believed this and that all along (even if he wasn't there to get the information and make choice based on the available data and there to vote), and repeated some catch phrases. She usually always had something new and interesting to say.

I guess you're in favor of her "gas tax holiday", too?

hermione83 -> RE: I get to go vote for Hillary in 2 hours! (5/6/2008 1:36:07 AM)

Why not I guess, but they all come up with last minute things to get votes. If you heard her actual explanation of that in her speeches, it was at least logical. She detailed plans for saving us more serious money in the future other ways and has been talking about plans to stop price gouging from oil companies and taking them down far before Barack said anything about that as he does now, and she reiterated that at the same time she talked about the little gas tax idea, and said people needed something immediate to be able to pay the bills right now besides those long-term plans. I do. I'm making a negative amount of money every month because of gas only. And it definitely wouldn't be only a 20 cents a day if gas went down 30+ cents a gallon for me. I dunno who drives that little, but as my town lost 20k jobs this year (in a town of 60k people) there are no jobs within an hour of here. Homes that were worth 120k are now worth 9k. Anyway, sure. Everything helps. Gas is my second largest expense right now, after rent. (450 a month for gas, 649 for rent for a 1bdrm) And I have a serious illness - I never thought gas would be a bigger expense for me than that. I definitely love her healthcare plans, among so many other things.

Why vote for the same old type of politician? Vote an independent.

Yeah right. And her B* little comments and such during the debates are an 'excellent' example of that. *Sarcasm*

Even when she should.

A "bit?"

Of course, unless you count the sheer number of outright lies she's put forth since this whole thing started. The sniper fire in kosovo? he fact that Obama was "lying" by sending out mailers that quoted her words directly.

but really, in every speech I heard in person she literally never mentioned Obama.

She doesn't have to. She does what any bitch would do, she laces every word with pasice aggressive disdain so that there is no doubt who she is talking about.

And if you support her wonderful "gas tax" initiative....then you support putting hundreds of thousands out of work so you can save $28 on gas throughout the entire summer. Good call.

Here's another fact to consider. Everything backlash "hill" has had to endure during this campaign came from her own antics and her own words. The ones Obama has had to endure were from others that he 'knew' because they couldn't get anything on him. They have to make up things to show people how bad Obama is......ol' hill gives it to them on her own.

LilMissHaven -> RE: I get to go vote for Hillary in 2 hours! (5/6/2008 7:21:15 AM)

I vote independant...I pick the candidate that best suits MY needs.  And I got to tell you neither Hillary nor Obama will be getting my vote.

Hillary has told far too many "white lies" since being in the public's eye counting Bill's term of service as president.

Obama just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I beg to differ LMH, think of the real thing in your mouth, right where ALL of your teeth are...........biting down HARD!!!!

popeye1250 -> RE: I get to go vote for Hillary in 2 hours! (5/6/2008 8:09:23 AM)

Well, I think that Hillary has the best chance of winning against McCain.
Obama is way too far to the left of Hillary and even Kerry and Gore!
If per chance he gets the nomination it'll be a slaughter by McCain!
Obama won't get more than 35% of the vote.
He'll make it 0-3 for the Dems.
Hillary has proven that she can win big states, Obama can't.
And, it'll be a lot more fun watching Hillary and McCain go at it!
Obama would put you to sleep with that boring, monotone voice of his and his leftist ideas. Watching him speak is like watching paint dry.
Yeah right, "exciting."
If the Dems are dumb enough to nominate Obama then they deserve to lose again.
I can't stand McCain but he'll make mincemeat out of Obama.
It'll be like watching a trainwreck.

Most political strategists would disagree with you. That's why there were reports early on about the replublicans telling their people to vote in the dem's processes for hillary. Because they know that vs a war veteran like McCain, hillary doesn't have a chance. I am one of those who will readily vote McCain to keep her out of the white house.

That's not really relavant though, since Obama will get the nod. If he doesn't, I dare say this whole campaign would be a bigger farce than when people claimed bush 'stole' the 2000 election. Right now Obama is clearly ahead in states and popular vote. If hillary gets the nod simply because of her superdelegates (the only lead she has, which is rapidly shrinking) then it will be a political travesty and I hope every Obama supporter would vote McCain in that instance.

Aynne -> RE: I get to go vote for Hillary in 2 hours! (5/6/2008 8:42:14 AM)

No kidding Popeye.   I listen to other dems hopping on the Obama train and I see four more years of Bush headed our way. McCain will most likely win.
I was posting last night on a political website almost you exact comments about Obama speaking. Christ can he get anymore monotone? yawnnnnn....
To the OP, good job young lady.

Well, the "political strategists" are dead wrong on that.
Americans won't vote for a leftist.
I hate to shithammer their dreams but it just ain't going to happen.
They need to get real jobs.

I hate to disappoint you, but I've heard many say the same thing I have. And that is if Obama gets the nod, they are voting for him. But if hillary steals the nomination, they will vote McCain just to keep her out of the white house. She is simply not fit to run this country and the people I know have said they'd rather have someone whose stance is already known in office rather than her. She's not even gotten the nomination yet and she's already talked about attacking iran. Not to mention her wonderful gas tax break and all of it's illusions. She would do far more harm than good.

Aynne, I'm right there with you on the McCain win. For the life of me I can not understand how a nation can give the sitting President an approval rating of 31% and then say they will vote to keep the same party in office. Sometimes you do have to have change just for changes sake. This is one of those times.

I have not yet decided if I'll "waste" my vote on a third party candidate or vote Democratic, but the Republicans do not deserve four more years, and that means no vote for McCain from me.
