Ultimately, none of this matters.  Every american President BUT JFK and Lincoln have been a) of the same bloodline and b) funded by the Rothchilds (the Clintons fit both a and b while Obama fits a, though I wouldn't be surprised if he fit both.  Look it up if you're skeptical).  We look at our country and think of it as just that, when in actuality it's nothing more than a corporation.  Until people realize their lives have been hijacked and that the comforts they cling like a piece of driftwood in the middle of the ocean are only given to them as an opiate, nothing will change.

Out of curiosity, do you also hate anyone named Joseph?

I'm asking in the interests of logical consistency, you see.

No and I dont hate Obama because hes black either so dont even try to play the race card. If the dems wanted a black candidate they could have gotten a better one. One who isnt a leftist radical, raised and schooled in Indonesian in muslim schools, who is outwardly hostile to America and affiliated with a wacko minister with ties to Farrakahan and the Nation of Islam. Personally, I hope that McCain picks Condelleza Rice or Colin Powell as a running mate....

This post is the most disgusting thing I've ever read on these boards. Revolting rhetoric like this after two weeks on this website: I can only imagine what you're trying to achieve. It's sad, mad, and ugly.

NoVacancy -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 5:35:35 AM)

Politicians themselves are not crooked.  The system forces them to muddy their feet by requiring that they raise obscene amounts of money in order to get elected and be re-elected.  Therefore, once they get into office, they stop doing the business of the people, and instead do the business of the financial contributors.  Change that, and you have the potential to change the system.  I know that money is considered (oddly enough) as free speech....but it isn't free if you have to pay for it.    Voter owned elections is the way to go, IMHO.

Kirren -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 5:51:38 AM)

Okay...First, thank you to those of you who answered. Thank you Level for the links. The one that breaks them down by person makes it -so- much easier....

Im looking at each one slowly...and I dont understand first how Clinton could be so back and forth on an issue like abortion, which it has been said that she cant control. But she supports stem cell research, which makes Me wonder, where does she think the stem cells come from.

Second, Im curious as to why she wants to support a Nigerian Casion instead of working on the unemployment rate in the US....

Who the hell is Bretton Woods? I havent looked that one up yet, but I plan to...

How can she say that she wants to help the next generation by getting national debt undercontrol, but voted no on a 40 Billion dollar reduction in over all federal spending?  Does she always flip flop on issues like that? I mean...I know shes a woman, but damn.

650$ for energy help for those who cant afford it...is this chic on crack or what? 650$ in some places is ONE month. Thats not even close to realistic.

Okay...Obama....and thats not to say that I liked anything else Clinton had to say...theres just so MUCH of it...and most of it is SHIT....

Let kids cross the state line to get an abortion, But dont tell the parents....WHAT? If My kid leaves the state, some body better by God call Me and tell Me what the hell is going on.

Im gathering by both of them voting on the reduced federal spending that they think some how the money would come from seriously needed programs like school lunch or something like that right? I think what they arent saying is that in that 40 billion is most likely yet another increase in the lining of their pockets...Maybe I just dont trust government....

Sex ed in KINDERGARTEN? This guy is the anti christ...I dont like him and Im not even 1/2 down his page...

McCain....Hes a republican thats for sure....the health care for the old folks...Wow....All I can say is wow...if he gets it granny wont even be able to eat cat food.

Yes, lets raise the minimum wage to 7.25, but lets not raise it to 7.25 instead of 6.25. These guys are making like Hundereds of thousands a year...what the hell do they think 7.25 an hour is going to do when milk is 5$ a gallon and gas is 5? So you wont even make enuff to drive to the store to get a damned gallon of milk in one hour of work....insanity...

I dont like any of them...whats the next choice?

Ok want a break down - here it is:

Barrack HUSSEIN Obama is a pathological liar who flip flops in the interest of expedience. He was born of a radical mother from Kansas who mated with a black man from Kenya. He was then raised as a muslim in Indonesia until he was 14. (You know, Indonesia - where they have the Bali bombing and Al Queda is rampant.) He denies being a muslim however and has a racist preacher who thinks Louis Farrakhan - leader of the nation of Islam will free the blacks from the white devils in this God Damn KKK or A. You know he is most famous for saying God Bless America! No God DAMN America! He has a wife who announced that "for the first time she was proud to be an american". Obama was never in the military unless you count al queda camps in Indonesia.

Hillary Clinton is a crooked disbarred lawyer whos political qualifications consists of being married to one of the worst presidents we ever had. She too is a pathological liar and will tell you whatever you need to hear. Case in point , she is one of the most antigun people in america yet she was doing boiler makers and talking deer hunting in Pennsylvania. She was never in the miltary unless you count dodging imaginary sniper fire in an incident that never happened. Hillary wants big govt.

John McCain is a graduate of the US Naval Academy. His father and grandfather were both admirals. He served with honor as a Naval Aviator. His integrity is such that he remained for years in a Vietnameese prison being tortured daily because he refused to use his fathers influence to get his freedom thus abandoning his men. (They offerer to send him home because his father was CINC Naval Air Forces Pacific.) He is a bit outspoken, to the point where he is known as "senator hothead" but thats because he leads like Navy Captain - which is what he was. (The equivelant of a Col.) He has a long and distinguished history in politics and is above all a man of honor who subscribes to the Navy code - Honor, Courage, Committment.

To put it simply - we have a mouthy bitch crooked lawyer married to a womanizing crooked lawyer, a mouthy half black radical muslim crooked lawyer married to a mouthy bitch anti-american lawyer. Or we have a war hero Naval Aviator, married to a gorgeous blonde who owns a beer company. :) Tough choice huh?

MC CAIN!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really have much enthusiasm for any of the three, but it's amusing that die-hard Republicans called Kerry a flip-flopper and now Obama.  I used to have respect for John McCain but in case you haven't noticed there are two John McCains, pre-2004 and post-2004, kind of like Jekyll and Hyde.

He was firmly against the Bush tax cuts until he realized that he needed to support them in order to gain the nomination.  He called the religious right, specifically Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, "agents of intolerance".  That is until he realized he couldn't win an election without the support of that segment of the party.  He even tucked his tail between his legs and was a commencement speaker at the Falwell-founded Liberty University.  He promised to balance the budget within four years but has now decided we can't do that in "tough economic times".

Yes, John McCain is truly a "straight-talker" who sticks firmly to his convictions.  No flip-flopping there.

NoVacancy -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 6:10:34 AM)

Kirren said:  I think what they arent saying is that in that 40 billion is most likely yet another increase in the lining of their pockets...Maybe I just dont trust government....

Generally the lining of pockets is not necessarily the lining of the politicians pockets (except in unusual situations liked William Jefferson or Randy Duke Cunningham) but rather the lining of the campaign coffers and the pockets of the largest contributors.  One thing that may help you to understand the difference between Democrats and Republicans....is that republicans don't trust government either, and so when they are in power, they do everything they can to destroy it.  They are generally quite successful as this current administration has proven.

NoVacancy -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 6:40:42 AM)

One other thing that I would like to point out about voter owned elections, I think it would help to widen the field from which we choose our elected officials.  Right now you have to be either very wealthy or very connected to even consider running for public office because of the money it takes to run a campaign.  With voter owned elections, anyone who could show a viability by raising small donations ($50 maximum) say 2000 of them, would then be eligible for matching funds (matched to his opponents or a set amount if both (or all) were to opt to public financing) to run his campaign with.  Once he  (or she) came into office he wouldn't be beholden to corporate interests or have to suck up to them to get re-elected.  I also think that the people's airwaves should allow equal time to candidates during election season, free of charge, in order for the candidates to get their message out.  This is about our very democracy.....and yet it is has turned into the biggest moneyfest imaginable.

With regard to the abortion issue or the stem cell issue......please do not be fooled into thinking that anyone WANTS abortions.  It is more about whether a woman has the right to choose whether she goes full term with a pregnancy or not, and the supreme court is who decides that.  We have had several years of a conservative dominated supreme court right now, and so far they have done very little to restrict the rights of a woman to have an abortion, so I don't think whether our president was against abortion or not makes much of a difference.  Bush is vehemently opposed to abortion and yet even with his supreme court appointments, very little has changed.  I think the better thing to consider is what a candidate plans to do to promote safe sex, abstinence or to prevent unplanned pregnancies....wouldn't you agree?

With regard to stem cells, this is another thing that I hope you will look beyond the hysterical hype.  http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/stemcell/   Here is a link to look at the pro's and the con's of this issue.  Too many times these issues are wrapped up in language designed to inflame our worst fears.  There are millions of people (God's children too)  who were very fortunate to have actually made it through birth, only to be born with debilitating diseases or handicaps who might actually have a chance at having a cure that would give them a semblance of a normal life.  I would plead with you to understand that they suffer and hope that the American people will sympathize with their plight and not stand in the way of hope for them.  There seems to be an appalling lack of compassion for them.

The last thing I will say about the issue of voter owned elections (in this post anyway)....is that for the first time in a very long time, the voices of each and everyone of us would carry equal weight.  Right now, if you cannot afford the price of admission (a hefty campaign contribution) then you don't even get an audience to voice your concerns and your desires as to how your country is run.  That is fundamentally unfair and lends itself to the wealthy, the powerful, the connected, the elites having their interests advanced while the rest of us are left to fend for ourselves.

Irishknight -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 8:42:36 AM)

Actually, the supreme court only decides whether laws are constitutional or not.  At least, that is their job.  Congress is the one who would have to start the ball rolling.  Abortion law will not come up for the supreme court to rule on until there is a legitimate challenge to existing law or until a new one is passed.
As far as the peoiple who want to let kids get an abortion without parental knowledge, they need to be locked away.  My kid's school is not legally allowed to give him an aspirin without my knowledge but some jeroff can operate on my daughter without my knowledge?  That is crazy.  What if they discover that my kid has an allergy that they were unaware of and she dies from something they gave her?  Are they immune to prosecution?  Are they guilty of a greater crime because they went uninformed into a procedure that was not medically necessary and they killed a minor?  Its definately something to think about.

NoVacancy -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 9:07:09 AM)

IrishKnight....with regard to the supreme court determining constitutionality, of course you are correct.  I guess I was speaking in more general terms as to that is where it has ultimately died....was there.

And as to the abortions for minors without parental consent....I think I have to agree with you on this one.  They are still kids and in my opinion need parental assistance in making an informed decision and I just don't think the parents should be left out of this equation.  I understand the argument for it, and think it is a valid argument, but I do not think it outweighs the importance of parental involvement.  It's just too important.  I do think, however, that malpractice is malpractice....with or without parental consent and I see no reason why the law would not view it that way as well.

Irishknight -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 9:22:45 AM)

I think that there need to be stiffer penalties for anyone who disregards the safety of a child.  There are times when these guys get malpractice where they should be getting manslaughter.  That is my personal opinion.
If they screw up an abortion and cause permanent damage to a woman, they should be held liable as well.  I have a friend who lost 4 children later in life because of a poorly done abortion.  I think the person who performed the abortion should have been forced to pay for that.  Her case is one reason I don't like abortions.  The procedure is far more serious than some people think and can have far reaching consequences.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 9:51:44 AM)

A good example of what's wrong with politics in America.  No one seems to know what the issues are.  Nor do they seem to know what they have to do to find out.

I cant make heads or tails of it...so can some one, with OUT the sarcasm thank you, PLEASE break it down for Me in simplest terms, as to what each one stands for....and how likely they are to ACTUALLY do it, based on past histories in politics....

Kirren -> RE: Can some one PLEASE break this down for Me? (5/7/2008 10:45:34 AM)

Well its kind of hard to know whats going on when you have like 6 million opinions coming at you, when none of it makes sense, and you get lost in the wing section of lefts and rights and who will abort and who wont.

The fact is, none of them seem to have a clear stance on anything that will be of any meaningful impact to turn the economic digression of this country around. They have massive excuses as to why the oil we use costs as much as it does, but no solutions. They can tell you that they support same sex marriages tho. Not that Im against that, but what good does it do? Not any...you know why? cos that gay couple living down the street will get married and some drunk fucktard will come along and burn down their house, because of his own ignorant fear of his own latent homosexual tendancies.

They want to tell you that theyll give you 650$ for one month of heating when its asshole deep snow, but they wont tell you that with that bill comes granny over cross town having to live off of bacon bits and cat food, because they cant seem  to balance a check book.

Thats what Im seeing...lies, and more lies...and when I come here to ask some one to help Me find the truth I get told that its MY fault that the country is screwed up because I cant believe word one in the media...and dont understand half of what the morons are talking about.

I came here to get it straight from some of the people I have come to know and trust and respect over time.

The public education system in rural communities like the one in which I got My education is about 10 years and 15 million dollars behind the rest of the freaking country. But thats okay in any presidents eyes, because some one has to serve Bill Clinton those Big Macs..and some one has to grow the food he eats at home dont they? And after all...a farmer really doesnt need to read...just drive and work a hoe....So doesnt it stand to reason that the general public in every day America would NOT understand the issues....or non issues?

So if some one like Me has to come onto a public board to get the answers that they need, then maybe instead of saying oh hey...its that persons fault because they dont know where to look for the truth...then MAYBE...it would be a good idea to POINT them in the RIGHT direction? Offer something useful instead of something just as damning as 6$ a gallon gas and 3$ a loaf bread.

The ONLY place that people like Me, plain jane every day average people, have is the media...so looking at that...what would you believe? what would you think? Propganda? Or facts? and really...what are the facts? The issues are the same...little guy is taking it in the ass so big guy can have a nicer car...little guy starves begging for big guys scraps...We all sit around and talk and discuss and bitch...they tell us to vote...then -gasp- we find out weve been lied to!  and we want to act enraged when nothing changes...but yet we sit back on our spoiled fat asses and we do NOTHING about it....Im sick of not doing anything. Im sick of wondering how Im going to feed My kids. Im sick of wondering how Im going to pay My bills because I live in an area that is left behind. Im sick of watching My 86 year old granmother decide if she wants to eat or if she wants to die of a heart attack due to high blood pressure so she takes her pills in half so she can make the 150$ a month prescription last longer. Im sick of falling behind because I cant acidemically compete with some one two states away.

This country needs a boot in the ass...and it needs it fast....damn it. Were so worried about what the guy across the street is doing we dont see that the people in our own house are dying of starvation. Iran and Iraq have been fighting since biblical times...do you think they plan to stop now? Because we said so? Dillusional to think so, wouldnt you say?  Who gives a shit about the rest of the world...we can sustain on our own. We have the land, and the resources to do it...we have the oil...we have the refineries...we have the land for crops...we have the ability to do it and do it just as well as the assholes over seas...but instead...we want to send jobs over there so some poor person in back scratch congo can feed his tribe...well...what about OUR tibe? The American tribe? The kids that starve? The people that have illness that they cant get treated because they cant get insurance? What about those guys? Where are they in all the NON issue issues?

Show Me ONE of the candidates in the list that gives a flying rats ass about ANY of that...and Ill show you some one who is either a) going to do nothing or b) full of shit as a christmas turkey.

[sm=soapbox.gif]

Okay...now I can step down...because I realize I am in fact beating a dead horse...none of this is going to change...and venting in such a manner is not going to make things any better.

If Ive offended anyone...I am sorry....But Im pretty damned mad at the lack of action and the over use of hot air...could all the shit talking politicians do be the reason that we have global warming? Ooo...I know...lets motion the house to spend 20 trillion on a research foundation to find out!
