Anyone visiting England- I recommend going to Cornwall, Newquay if you can brave the crowds of tourists. Surf capital of Europe!

As for pubs, the famous firkin in columb was a good local, as was the farmers. Its all about atmosphere! Now up in Twickenham all the pubs revolve around rugby, walking through town on days its on is a dangerous sport in itself!

Due to the brevity of my trip I didn't get to see as much of the country as I would have liked... but I did see London, Harrogate (and some of the most breathtaking countryside I've ever seen around it), and a bit of the West Midlands.
I'm looking forward to returning.

Sounds like you enjoyed yourself last time......if you can, I'd ceratainly recommend allocating some time to sit in an English pub to get a sense of what makes the English tick - particularly a village pub.

I recommend going to Cornwall

Cornwall is a superb place......absolutely stunning.......Mouse Hole and St Just spring to mind. It's quite wild in places, but tranquil in others....great coast lines, great old harbours such as Penzance where the narrow, cobbled streets are demanding to be explored....

Anyone who can leave me fresh out of funny, flirty, slightly smart assed things to say...not at all generic.

Feel free to come back with your flirty, smart arsed conversation when you're back on form....

I love MouseHole, Mevagissy, Padstow and Harlyn Bay, my mom lives in St Austell which is nice too but I love the northcoast of cornwall the most,  many many happy hours/weeks/ months spent there. My daughter is over there for six weeks and my youngest goes in the middle of july for seven weeks, I keep making notes and sending email ..."oh be sure to see....."
I think they are making it up as far as manchester to meet some family and lincolnshire too, and everywhere between. Wish I were going with them, yeah im still homesick, ah well, meeeeeemoriessssss

British pubs are superior to American bars in virtually every way.

As a land lady i'm curious what is superior about them?

Apart from seeing my lovely smiling face over the bar of course

It's soooooo tempting to say it's because they have Brits in them, not Americans

But then my friends on CM are just about all Americans, so it has to be your smiling face young lady!

LOL...so no KLM with it's stops in Detroit on the way to London from Florida??? Fine.  i think it's important to point out to all the single ladies here, that in the North of England there's a mystical place called The Isle of Man....sounds like kismet, as far as holiday destinations go.
