I don't believe money can *buy* true happiness.  Yes it can make life easier for you and bring you all the materialistic things you ever wanted ...but.......in the long run........the things that seem to make people truly happy and at peace are love, family, friends.  And money cannot buy those.

I have been in a position where I made more money monthly than I cared to spend, bought whatever the heck I wanted, drove a nice car etc.... was I really happy?? No.........but being in a wonderful relationship changed that.  The money we had just made life easier and we had the ability to do more fun things without financial worries.

Given the choice today I would take being strapped for money and being in love than having all the money in the world and not having the right person to share it with.

As for the above statement I have seen it go both ways.  I have seen people who came from nothing suddenly come into money and turn into jacka**es.  Then I have seen others who come into money and not change.  Personally I would hope that I wouldn't change....if I were lucky enough to come into a large some of money it would just enable me to help others and give to my fav. charities!

I really wonder if these people were inclined to be jackasses before the money.   Again, I dont think having excessive funds really changes your state of being if you are inclined to be happy or a jackass.........you will be just that.  As far as sinking in debt, it aids to being at least worried if not being a little stressed out .......that's all I am saying.  If it is not logical or feasible to anyone so be it.....now I've mentioned "happy" but only in reference to a state of being.

One way to get a little extra money in your pocket every month is to stop buying cheap plastic junk from China and other countries at Walmart and put $200 a month in the bank instead.
After a year you'll have $2,400 and you can do something with it.
I'd much rather pay $21 for a golf shirt made in the USA than buy 2 shirts for $12 made in China or Honduras that I *know* I'll be using for car rags in a year or so.
