Of course there's also the issue of compatibility. If she just couldn't accept him being poly and wasn't told about this upfront, then she might be sweet as honey with a man who is monogamous and keeps his word, but has such bad feelings about the ex that with him she is bitchy because of issues leftover from the relationship. Just because you're one way with one person, doesn't mean you're like that with everyone.
But I wonder about people who can't move on, and who feel the need to denigrate an ex without ever claiming any responsibility for mistreating them.
