it is about time germany get cut loose of him. I have many german friends..and they get tired of it. They have nothing to do with it anymore..and still..they have to carry the blame. Well..not telling you news, i guess.

I quoted it because it ties in nicely with the pack of lies that were told the public in order to 'justify' the invasion of Iraq. The bigger the lie... but also because it shows that tyranny is still alive and well today...

Honestly, I think it is a good thing to study lest we travel that route again. 

Of course, the left loves to quote Hitler to try to tie him to leaders on the right.  The right prefers to compare the leaders on the left to Stalin.  Its a silly little game they play to try to prove their talking points.

I have only recently discovered my german heritage.  I think that my grandmother's family began calling themselves dutch to distance themselves from their heritage during WWII.  I never heard anyone call them "Pennsylvania Dutch" until about 3 years ago when my aunt searched out our family history.

It is called being honorable and having integrity. I agree that if the US signs a treaty, they should maintain it. The ignoring of, or justification to not follow a treat, is why the US is viewed as it is, by many. Personally I do not believe our country should be involved in treaties and organizations such as NATO or the UN. It is long past time that we use the dollars that have gone into the military machine, to create a better country.

I cannot truly speak my beliefs or opinions about the UN because then I would be censored on all my posts or removed from the forums altogether.  The organiztion is that low on my list that I have nothing good to say about it.

.......and so the birds come home to roost. Does the US soldier who sparked this bear any responsibility at all for the consequences? Or are they blameless, even though the above linked story was basically predictable?

I may get flamed for my views but personally I'd pin a medal on the guy. Why is it that we feel we have to make race, color, creed, religon etc. Feel OK about us and them selves.

The Muslim has been trying to take over the world since about the time of the crusades. I guess no one noticed the islamic invasions of Eastern Europe. Who do you think that Ferdinan and Isabella of Spain were fighting??? The islamic Moor!

You do know that the koran, teaches death to the infidel, forced conversion of the infidel, and taxation of the infidel who won't convert. Their whole religon can be summed up in the simple phrase "Kill anyone who isn't like us or if they have enough money then take it from them"

John, you need to read a lot more about history.  During the time of Isabella and Ferdinand, the Muslims were a little more tolerant than Europeans about different religions.  Unlike the Spanish, the Muslims weren't forcefully expelling Jews from their countries.  Oh and they did go all over the world enslaving and forcefully converting people to Christianity.

LOL Beautiful! Get them riled up, get them in rowdy crowds, they start misbehaving and it gives us an excuse to open fire... Don't they realize they cant win. [:D] The way this invariably ends is the crowds riot and carry on and raise hell and then we come in with an air strike or an artillery barrage to disperse them. You think this is a coincidence? Not, the rules of engagement dont let us kill them UNTIL they do something... Rile them up enough and we can win by attrition...

The Catholic Monarchs were driving out both Muslims and Jews.

The Muslim pogroms against the Jews started in the 11th century well before Ferdinand and Isabella.
