Smiles i used to work at the auctions here in az every year sometimes more than one per year .I own 4 old rides myself though not factory muscle cars "hehee i had to make those adjustments myself " I have seen what your talking about in person and yes i agree that does rock !The car that got away was my uncles daytona super bird , i was to get it then some guy saw it roll out of the barn and paid him a big bag of cash for it . I have yet to drive the new camaro but i did take a charger and challenger out .The GTO that came out a few years ago "now doa" was impressive . BTW if ya all have access to BBC America on tv check out a show called "top gear ". quote:
ORIGINAL: Emperor1956 FR: Azropedntied: You are in the right neighborhood with the Yenko, but if you really want to hit home, its the Nickey 1969. It may be a geography thing -- when I was 13, Nickey Chevrolet burned up WLS (the cool pop radio station) with ads for "NICKEY NICKEY NICKEY Your ORIGINAL SUPERCAR Headquarters!" and they produced THESE. You always knew if you saw NICKEY (with the 'K" backwards, and in bright red) you were talking muscle. This one is now on the west coast, but its heart is on Irving Park Avenue, Chicago IL! God I wanted one of these soooo bad. I think they go for over 2 MM now, if you can find one. E.
