FR:  Azropedntied:  You are in the right neighborhood with the Yenko, but if you really want to hit home, its the Nickey 1969.  It may be a geography thing -- when I was 13, Nickey Chevrolet burned up WLS (the cool pop radio station) with ads for "NICKEY NICKEY NICKEY Your ORIGINAL SUPERCAR Headquarters!"  and they produced THESE.  You always knew if you saw NICKEY (with the 'K" backwards, and in bright red) you were talking muscle.  This one is now on the west coast, but its heart is on Irving Park Avenue, Chicago IL!  God I wanted one of these soooo bad.  I think they go for over 2 MM now, if you can find one.

By 2010 rides like this will be leaving those dino-piss drinking pieces of trash in the reeds. And you won't even hear them coming, or going. Better learn how to ID them from their tail lights, kids...

i learned to drive a car in a 65 mustang.  i'd been driving tractors since i was 7, so this was at age 17.

i had a 68 camaro that slapnuts (my ex) burnt the motor up.  funny, wolf did the same thing to my 95 camaro.  (i think it was a 95 anyway, coulda been a 96.)

mama drives the limited edition cobra that came out about 15 years ago...niiiiiice car that one is!  and TheEngineer drives a 250 class mercedes, also a nice car.  :D

(he says i am NOT getting another camaro.  period.)

~FR~

it looks like a longer wheel-based Mustang, to me.

Zensee:  We'll see.   So far Tesla has done nothing but put together a sexy prototype and win a lot of awards for marketing.  It is clearly the Prius of 2010 in that every Hollywood ecotalker will want one.  But lets see actual production.   There's a lot of room to fail in car making between the flash and putting 20,000 pieces on the road.  Or did you forget a guy named DeLorean?

Same here....I'll keep my Charger SRT8,

http://www.cardata.com/images/2008_new_cars/Dodge/2008_Dodge_Charger_SRT8.jpg

4 doors, plenty of back seat leg room and you still get 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. "Yeah, its got a HEMI."

soul2share -> RE: 2010 Camaro (5/23/2008 8:54:27 AM)

Yep..... first thought I had was it looks like the mustang........but all the cars are beginning to look alike......

But, on the OTHER hand, if someone were to walk up to me, hand me the keys and say "it's youres, have at it", you wouldn't see me for the dust!!

LadyRainfire -> RE: 2010 Camaro (5/23/2008 9:06:54 AM)

The main competition will be the Charger, Mustang and the Camaro. Soooooo, who's to say that they're all looking alike? *shrugs*  I still want one. Though I wouldn't say no to a Charger either. [:D]

DomAviator -> RE: 2010 Camaro (5/23/2008 9:56:43 AM)

YUCK!!!!! [:'(][:'(][:'(] Its a wanna be Corvette wearing a mustang body [:'(][:'(][:'(] General Motors makes ONE sports car, anything else is an imitation....

LadyRainfire -> RE: 2010 Camaro (5/23/2008 10:00:56 AM)

DA, they even say that the 6.2-litre V-8 engine comes from the Vette, they ain't hiding that...... If it's a good engine, why not use it?

Correction, I re-checked the source, they say it's "similar to that in the Corvette"......

Taboo, what kind of milage do you get from the Charger if you don't put the hammer down?
The back of that new Camaro looks like a Dodge.

This one makes me drip , and it's only two hundred and forty thousands Euros. Very affordable, considering the value you get for the money.

PS: *choke, cough, cough, choke*

PPS: got first price wrong: it's even cheaper than I thought. Aaaah, breathing [:)] .

Yes, the Vanquish is hot. So is the DB9....I was heartbroken when they totalled one in Casino Royale.

Actually, they've said that one has a "turbine" sound not unlike a jet, though not as ear-splittingly loud.

The new 'retro' Camaros and Mustangs are hot.....as is the Challenger. However, I HATED that they turned the Charger into a 4-door freakin' 'family car.'

Muscle cars are BEASTS. They are big, loud, fast and NOT NOT NOT 4-door!

They are supposed to be "a shiny dick with two chairs in it....so you can both be the balls, just draggin' the fuck along."

Ummm... To quote the reviewer in this video  "It is by far the quietest car you will ever drive in."

Electric cars do make a turbine-like sound but hardly ear-splitting. That is just the quiet whirr of an electric motor providing 100% instantaneous torque.

More like the Charger was turned into a police package, with 4 doors.
