Obama's advisors better tell him to just shut up when it comes to foreign policy and history....he's clueless...

On Memorial Day he made a comment that his uncle was one of the first Americans to liberate the prisoners at the Auschwitz Nazi death camp.
Problem is...the allies did not liberate Auschwitz. The Soviets did.

Now a day later his campaign puts out a statement claiming Obama "misspoke" and that the camp he meant to say was Buchenwald.

http://comments.breitbart.com/d90u7s4g4/

If anyone gets this guy in a fair debate on history or foreign policy, he'll be blown out of the water and look like a fool.

Oh, the delicious irony here.....

During WWII, the Soviets were one of the Allies.

Still, Obama did have his own "senior moment" when he confused Auschwitz with Buchenwald.

Yeah but if McCain had made a mistake like this, you would never hear the end of it.

True they were an ally but I meant allies as in the east, the US, Britain, and France.

Oh fer crying out loud. The man has been addressing endless seas of faces for months now in a very stressful atmosphere. All the candidates can be excused the occasional gaff. Have you ever had to do a lot of intensive public speaking over long periods? Give the candidates a break.

This has nothing to do with his competence at foreign policy. It has nothing to do with anything at all, except your pathological need to find maximum fault from minimum circumstances. At least he didn't get up before an international audience and declare a crusade, FFS! Or "Mission Accomplished".

Let us know when Obama seriously screws up, OK?

Actually, it has everything to do with his holier-than-McCain reactions to McCain's own equally  understandable gaffes.

You have to admit, Obama's shameless use of double standards is quite ironic from a man who pontificates about equality.

The East huh?  Damn, you've made two stupid mistakes in a thread about making stupid mistakes.

Good thing that a photographic memory isn't a requirement to be a poster here... or to run for office.

And that's different from the incessant whinging about Hilly's and Obam's gaffs in what way?

I'm not following your thesis.

In other words, BIG FUCKING DEAL.

First off, im not running for president. So its irrelevent to the discussion.

Second, there is a difference between making a harmless error and the errors that he makes constantly. Everyone mixes up their right and left hand once in a while. But if I knew my uncle freed prisoners from Buchewald...I sure as hell wouldnt say "Auschwitz" if Ive had any education at all of World War II. Sounds more like he didn't know which camp it was so he just picked the one that came to mind.

And forgiving mistakes? Democrats dont do it so why should the Republicans? Kind of like how the Dems continuously pound on McCain for the "100 years" comment even though he was taken out of context responding to a idiotic question. We dont hear about the media bashing Obama....instead every person on the news today is defending Obama. The obvious liberal bias in the media is disgusting. His preist was listening to for 20 years screams about racism and how terrible America is. And Im supposed to believe that Obama doesnt agree with that? The man can do absolutely no wrong it seems.

There's nothing funny about the pathetic double standards advanced in a desperate effort to make Buffoon Obama look vaguely Presidential.  It's rather sad, really, this insistence on elevating the obviously inept.

The real question is, will the Democratic super delegates have the balls and the political wisdom to put Clinton up as the party nominee or are they going to allow the lunatic left to steer the party into defeat and eventual dissolution?

(Clinton is a devious, deceitful, power hungry bitch, but that alone makes her more qualified to hold high office than a whimsical wuss like Obama)

I challenge you, sparkplug, to find any quote of mine criticizing any gaff McCain has made either here or in my 15,000 odd posts on Bondage.Com. And I don't recall any threads criticizing a McCain gaff there, or for that matter, here either. However, both here and there, there are a plethora of pathetic partisan whackjobs putting up what I call "Pelosi farted" threads. You have committed the logical fallacy of Hasty Generalization.

I reitierate: BFD.

Believe it or not, this one really doesn't bother me.  I honestly can't tell you which of my Dad's war stories happened in Phu Cat and which in Danang (spelling may be screwed on those).  I know that he spent some time in both places.
Obama screwed up his places.  How many of us haven't gotten our wires crossed?

I wouldn't even begin to compare this with fictitious stories of disembarking aircraft under sniper fire while first lady.  The other two might be having senior moments but the teller of that tall tale seems to be delusional.

I couldn't tell you fuck-all about my brother's adventures as a Captain in the Nam with 400 guys under him in the Engineers, where his job was to clear tunnels, among other front-line shit. I remember Vong Tau and that's about it. He did 3 tours until he got Court-martialed for putting a Chaplain's lights (you know, one of those swingin' dick types who are all hat, no cattle. Couple of those 'round these parts, it seems) out because the fuck lied his ass off in a bar about hauling hit guys in to safety for a Medevac. I gotta get him to tell me a lot more, it's interesting as hell to me. He said it was the best time of his life. He LIKED getting shot at.

Incorrect.  You have committed the Democratic Fallacy of assuming yourself to be the focal point of the discussion.  I speak of Democrats and the Lunatic Left (tragically they are one and the same), and the collective insistence of this group that Buffoon Obama is somehow presidential matierial, while McCain somehow is not.  I speak of Democrat-inclined media outlets, blogs, and commentators in general pontificating about McCain's "senior moments" while ignoring similarly consequential gaffes by their clown candidate.

As I am replying to your post, it is plausible to presume I am speaking to you.  It is not plausible to presume I am speaking specifically about you.  Your postings, therefore, are irrelevant.
