I lost NINE and a half pounds in TWO and a half weeks by making ONE simple change: I ate exactly as I always did, no 'dieting' but I had ZERO carbs after 6:00 pm, except the carbs found in protein. By giving up my late night snack of pretzels and trading it for slices of ham or an Atkins low-carb protein shake I kicked my metabolism into gear. I've since learned that by making another change - having 5 meals a day, consisiting of whatever fits into your open hand, instead of 3 larger meals, my metabolism runs much more efficiently. I'm dropping the weight at a much slower rate, but it's a healthy pace and I'm hopefully making a life-long change in my eating habits (which were always atrocious. I'm one of those who loves to eat cookies for breakfast...). These are just a few tips that worked for me, hope you find them helpful too. Best of luck... I know what a struggle it is to lose weight :)
