I call you a liar because you make claims that are not true. You claimed to be a soldier, a businessman, and a professional writer in your posts.  If You also said you never finished college.  I think you're lying.

Says you. Luckily for me, I know my claims are true. 1. O have never claimed to be a soldier. That's the army. I was in the military, however, I just never said which branch. 2. Never did I claim to be a businessman. Don't know who the hell you're thinking of, but it isn't me.

And again, you can be a writer without finishing college. Wanna know how I know? I was one. I don't care if you believe it or not, because the whole of my worth doesn't depend on if some schlub online believes me or not.

As for your challenge....My name is Larry.  I was born July 30, 1975 in Charleston, WV.  I grew up in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  I live there now.  I went to school at the University of Arkansas and Henderson State University.  I have a BA in history, but I won't tell you which school or the year (it was in the 90's).  I have held a lot of jobs.  My last job was a document analyst.  I was laid off, and I am officially unemployed.

I never made a challenge. And if I had, you just failed. "Larry?" Cute. Well, all my stories have my FULL name on them, not just an innocuous first name. Nice try though.

30 X 50 that tells me I was correct, for a history group they fouled this up. If they wanted to memorialize Veterans of the Confederate Army then they should hae used an accurately proportioned Battle Flag which was square not rectangular.

Had they made hat choice I could have stood behind them as a group wanting to honestly memorialize Confederate Veterans.

Ohhh how cute. Call me a liar as though I'll care what you think. Truth is, there are many examples of my writings posted online but, guess what, it includes my real name. And it's rather presumptuous of you to assume I'd readily hand that over to someone (a lot of someones since this is a public forum) just to "prove it" to you.

I have my own savings, and I inherited a substantial amount from my grandmother in 2006.  I have nothing to worry about.  I'm not bragging, and I never have done so here.

Larry? you forgot to give us your phone number, address and social security numbers?

I watch entirely too much Veggietales... The first thing I thought of when I heard Larry was: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPWpFli_SUk

Ah,..."Larry", if that's  true that is a LOT of personal information to be giving out online!
And it may be against TOS to do it, for your own protection of course.

Naah. He was 'careful' enough to not give out anything specific, while simultaneously expecting me to give away something VERY specific. You can't use any of what he posted to find him without the key piece of information -- his last name. Where as all of what I have written has that one key piece of information. I have a rather common first name, same as most guys, but there's only one "me" when you put it with my last name. You can google it and, last time I checked, I was the only one on all the links.

Well, who ever you are, Hi (and I've made the same log on mistake myself).

Just a couple of points...

The Georgia flag had nothing to do with the Civil War or tradition, it was deliberately changed in 1956 to adopt the Stars and Bars as a defiant symbol of racism, and to (as Randy Newman puts it...) keep the N***s down.
Judge Bells' denials that is was only 'nostalgia', and 'Confederate patriotism' in the wake of Brown v. Board, ring hollow on that.
http://www.onlineathens.com/stories/072300/opi_0723000017.shtml

And the state's rights at issue in the Civil War, and even more so in the aftermath of Jim Crow, segregation, et al. most certainly included the so called 'right' to treat members of one race as inferior... the very definition of racism.

Agree with you that the north (or for that matter Europe) has no grounds to congratulate themselves on the matter of racism... their real history is quite shameful, and covering it up by pointing fingers elsewhere is even more so.

Small detail that is a pet peeve of mine and a few other people
The Red background Blue diagonal cross with stars is "The Battelflag" It is not the Stars and Bars.
The Stars and Bars that flew over the CSA as a national flag looks very much like the current flag of GA.

Stars and Bars an the Confederate Battle Flag side by side. http://www.sonofthesouth.net/leefoundation/Confederate_Flag.htm

Except they make the same mistake most folks make the orginal Battle Flag was much closer to square rather than being 3X 5 ratio.

Just thought you might appreciate being a bit more accurate in your names for the flags.

I do appreciate that... 'Stars and Bars' was a bad mistake on my part.... although now that you mention it, I seem to recall the rectangular one with diagonal 'Southern Cross', under discussion as 'the Rebel Flag'  or 'Confederate Battle Flag' was actually a naval standard.

The Confederate Naval Jack had the same design but it acually came in a 3 X 5 ratio.

So I end up revisi my pos about hnoring Confederate Vetereans slightly, LOL

If they are honring Congfederate Naval Veterans, then the 3 X 5 ratio flag they have chosen might be OK.
Somehow I doubt they inend to honor only the Naval Veterans though so I end up back at the idea that for a group that is supposed to be about Honoring History of the Confederate Veterans, they sure di a lousy job researching their flag choice.

Smith, I googled my name and there's literally tens of thousands of "me."
I have very common first and  sirnames.
I just don't think people should be giving out that much personal info online.
It can't be wise.

Technically the Naval Jack is a different color scheme than the Battle Standard of the Army of Virginia so the commonly displayed "rebel flag" is neither the Battle Flag nor the Naval Jack.

Saw blue ingnored the shade difference; I  had wrongly assumed that the blue was off shade due to computer error or something of the sort.

~taking a bow~ Thank you, Thank you, They are just quick little 2 min low quality PS's, no fancy layering and blending, or intricate transparencies like some of the ones i've done, but they are kinda funny.

I probably would have tried for a "Hello Kitty" theme but it would have taken me days.  I suck at this kind of work.
