ORIGINAL: soul2share All of a sudden, in the last few days, I'm getting the information bar proclaiming that content has been blocked due to security certificate problems. These are from sites I've always been on, not new ones. I have no idea what I may have done, and can't seem to word the question properly to get an actual help answer from anyplace on the web. I get explanations about what the certificate is, but not on how I might have triggered it. I've done a restore, did all the emptying out of my caches and Internet stuff, ran virus programs....everything that I can think of, and I'm still getting the damn bar. Help!!?? Since you mentioned you just recently downloaded IE8, that was most likely installed with their default security settings, hence all the new panic buttons that are showing up on pages you've been on before. Right click on your Internet Explorer Icon on the desktop and click Properties. In the box that appears, click on Advanced in the upper right hand corner, and then scroll all the way down to the Security Area. Make sure the second box that says "Allow Active Content to run in files on my Computer" is checked. Then click APPLY or OK at the bottom of the box. This may require a restart to take affect. Please let me know if this resolves your issue, as I'd be happy to assist further if it doesn't.
