Are Y/you ever irritated by A/anyone's use of an acronym, whether on the boards, in chat, or in an IM? Personally i find 'WIIWD' irritating. There is no 'W/we' and nothing that W/we A/all 'do'. Just seems kinda silly to me. Acronymns in general have a way of excluding P/pl who are new; i find that irritating too. N/no O/one i IM with seems to know what 'afks'means. ('Away from keys'.) So, i have tried to remember not to use this -- but these acronymns are like a bad habit. S'times i think W/we're getting as bad as kids with their 'text speech'. pinksugarsub

The more usually accepted term is afk (away from keyboard) though brb works too... the thing is that the keyboard is a solid piece, not a bunch of things scattered all willy-nilly acronyms dont bother me at all, though T/this A/annoys T/the C/crap O/outta M/me

lol as far as to the op.. (unless im already blocked) Why is it that when something annoys you, its ok, but when multiple people express something that you do as being annoying, you lose it?

Gotta throw in with the group against the slashy talk stuff.......after a while, it is hard to read the post....especially if every other word is slashed. And Asher hit it on the noggin too with his comment about the double standard you seem to have in place for the folks here on the boards. Not trying to be mean....just honest! BTW, blushes.....THAT was FUNNY! GT, you have no one to blame but yourself if you had liquid in your mouth when reading the fora.....oh, dammit...that's the other thread! Meh, so sue me! [:D]
