i freely admit i am no 'foodie'.  i dun cook and never will.  A ham sandwich is fine with me.  If i want s'thing fancy to eat, i order it off a menu.

Even so, some foods should simply not exist.  Top of my list of really, really gross food is grits.  My time down south was marred by my exposure to grits, even in conversation.

They just make my skin crawl.

Does any food have this kind of effect on Y/you?

I'm not a picky eater by any means, but I had sea urchin sushi the other day, and it was this grey, frothy, extra fishy tongue looking thing that tasted like I had just licked the inside of a fish tank, and had a texture that made me want to puke in my sake. Bleh. That's a one time thing for me, thanks.

EWWWWW lynx. Thanks for that lovely description. Much appreciated!!!

I can't imagine why anyone eats crocodile. It tastes exactly like fishy chicken. Too blah for words.

Oh no Lynnxz, that is terrible. Sea urchin roe is delicious, and usually a nice fresh orange-y color and tastes kind of briney, like the ocean. I live in Maine and we get fresh urchin all the time ( uni ) and it is delicious. I am sorry your experience was so yuckky.
My gross out thing to eat is wierd, but I hate peanut butter. Even the smell of it grosses me out.

About the only thing I can think of that's grossed me out to see it - and it wasn't so much because it was gross looking as because I didn't feel like it was a good choice of flavor combinations - are a few of the deserts I've seen presented on Iron Chef America when the Secret Ingredient was some sort of seafood or meat and the chef decided to try and make an ice cream.  Things like Liver or any type of Fish do NOT belong as Ice Cream, damnit.

grits are good ...esp with butter and sharp cheddar cheese ...yummers.

the horrid foods i don't like - chitterlings (the smell while cooking them is horrible), okra, and tofu.

Krystal  'sliders' refers to the quick trip it makes through your digestive system, wreaking havoc along the way.
