ORIGINAL: FirmhandKY You have anything of substance to add to the discussion, perhaps some enlightening bit of wisdom from your French and Brit background? Firm PS. ditto for DomKen, minus the "French and Brit background" bit. Boisson lost his case by arguing his religion required him to hate gays and to verbally bash gays in print and in public. He's now under a court order not to publish in any way on the subject or to speak publicly on the subject. There are US citizens under even more stringent court orders, since at least 1988, and I missed the outraged squees that our entire way of life was destroyed. So what exactly is the big deal about this? That right wing hate speakers are being held accountable in Canada? That some far right wing wannabe politician was dumped by the Conservative Party for being to far right for them? That Canada does not have the same tradition of absolutely unfettered free speech as the US?
