Ok, my neighbor went on some colon cleansing diet to remove "plaque" from her intestine. First, I'm amazed that she would admit this at all, much less seem excited to volunteer the information. At the end, she pooped out a hard, weird log that you couldn't cut with a knife. Yeah, she poked at it and everything. And told me all about it. I looked at the stuff she was drinking. It was clay. Same stuff they use to make adobe. She had shit out a brick. Literally. And, btw, a healthy gut has nothing that remotely resembles "plaque". I call bullshit.

Which brings me to the colonics industry (yes, my neighbor is getting REALLY getting on my nerves). Since they are rebranding these days, I guess I should call it the "Beautifying your Insides" industry. Among the oh so obvious cures from squirting water (or coffee or god knows) up your ass:
- skin conditions such as psoriasis, shingles, and eczema
- continuous headaches and migraines, back or shoulder pain, aching joints, gout
- lupus, MS, rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis, cancer, chronic fatigue, Epstein-Barre
- some are working on emotional issues which they feel are physiologically rooted in their intestines (I won't argue that one - just talk to my neighbor)

Face it, some folks just like having stuff squirted up the ass. Nothing wrong with that. But cure cancer? I'll leave that kind of miracle to a woman in a nun outfit...

I wish you'd been on my jury, thorny.

Speaking of enhancement bullshit ads, I chuckle when the Viagra, Cialis, etc., commercials come on. In a room full of people, chattering away during the commercials, when the announcer quietly and quickly goes throught the list of side effects and disclaimers, when he says " erections lasting for 4 hours or longer require medical attention", somehow that cuts through all the chatter, and everyone perks. Brilliant marketing, but, imo, bullshit.

Much to the chagrin of many men, this is in fact a known serious medical condition called a priapism.
And can be pretty darm mean evil and nasty for some.
